i was silent but now i think i have to say something.any1 saw the jamat pray(group prayer of muslims)in mosque?every row give sajda(prostration)to front row&all row give prostration to prayer leader.now if i will claim that those ppl worship each other with allah then?here muslim are very advance about catholic statues.so we just bow to statues when pray.but when muslims pray they gave prostration to each other.so muslims can u explain about it;)

lol morning star your answer is funny but true. If we have limited and legalistic views about everything, then we can point out too many things as “wrong”, but it will only show our limited reasoning 😉 Truth sets free, it does not make us slaves to legalism. It is legalism that is the problem…where does it stop? so stop publishing books with animals and humans and sun and moon and tree pictures since it leads to polytheism! Muhammad forbid cussions with animal pictures ! thats what happens when people hijack God’s words and insert their limited human views.

Psalm 95:6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Note that both bowing and kneeling are mentioned in Psalm 95:6, the very order in which Muslims perform them.

Apart from bowing and kneeling, Muslims also stand and sit in our prayers… and of course prostrate to God just like what Jesus (pbuh) and his disciples did.

And so, again I ask:

Don’t Christians WANT to pray like how Jesus and the prophets like Abraham and Moses (peace be upon them) prayed to God?

A simple ‘YES’ or ‘NO’ answer would suffice, thank you very much.
The order of the gestures in the salaat is missing from your scripture. I want you to quote the Koran verses that instruct Muslims to pray in the exact same form and order as they do today.

Where is it written in the Koran that Muslims must first stand, then bow down, then kneel, then do homage, then sit???

Think of the Qur’an as the map to guide us in our journey through life… and think of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as the detailed legend by which to correctly read this map.

Only a fool will attempt to read a map without referring to it’s accompanying legend.

There are a lot of things about Islam such as the rules and procedure of prayer, fasting, giving alms, pilgrimage etc. which are not explained or even mentioned in the Qur’an but they are described in great detail in the various ahadith.

In the case of how Muslims should perform the salaat, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: “Pray as you have seen me pray" {Reported by Al-Bukhaaree].

Oh so you pray ‘that way’ because Muhammad said to pray '‘that way’…
I see…
Your very good at telling us we are praying wrong, displaying texts out of the bible telling us how you should think we should pray. Telling us we are wrong etc etc etc. But, the quran doesnt even give any guidance to how to pray. Interesting.
Maybe since the quran is ‘supposedly’ from God, and didnt instruct you how to pray, maybe he doesnt want you to pray to him?? Ever thought of that?

Muslims pray to God by following exactly how the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) himself prayed.

Do Christians pray to God by following exactly how Jesus (pbuh) himself prayed??

If not, then who is it exactly that Christians follow when they pray?

It surely cannot be Jesus (pbuh) that they are following when they pray.

Do i have to go over this again with you, this was explain about 5 pages back!!!
Yes, we do pray how Jesus and God instructed us too!

We pray how God instructed us, you pray as a man told you how to pray. At least we follow Gods instructions 😉

Luke 11

1 Now it happened that he was in a certain place praying, and when he had finished, one of his disciples said, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.’
2 He said to them, ‘When you pray, this is what to say: Father, may your name be held holy, your kingdom come;
3 give us each day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins,
4 for we ourselves forgive each one who is in debt to us. And do not put us to the test.’
5 He also said to them, 'Suppose one of you has a friend and goes to him in the middle of the night to say, “My friend, lend me three loaves,
6 because a friend of mine on his travels has just arrived at my house and I have nothing to offer him;”
7 and the man answers from inside the house, “Do not bother me. The door is bolted now, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot get up to give it to you.”
8 I tell you, if the man does not get up and give it to him for friendship’s sake, persistence will make him get up and give his friend all he wants.
9 'So I say to you: Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.
10 For everyone who asks receives; everyone who searches finds; everyone who knocks will have the door opened.

You did not get my point although it was clear! 🤷

I only wondered why you were so fussy about certain gestures and their order in a prayer although they were not specified in your Scripture.

Why did you quote from the Bible so many verses to prove your argument whilst you knew perfectly well that your scripture had no clear instruction on postures of praying? Your comparison had no logic.

I knew that salaat was Mohammad’s personal fabrication.
🙂

… Why did you quote from the Bible so many verses to prove your argument whilst you knew perfectly well that your scripture had no clear instruction on postures of praying?..
Muslims regard BOTH the Qur’an and the Sunnah as holy scripture.

And so, the instructions on the procedure and postures of praying are very clearly spelt out indeed in our scriptures, specifically in the Sunnah.

Do Christians pray to God by following exactly
how Jesus (pbuh) himself prayed?? do you or don;t you understand that Jesus told us we can stand up as well? how many times do you think we should repeat this for you to understand? and please show us where does Jesus say we must do exactly what Muslims do and tell us why you do not say the Lord’s prayer as Jesus instructed us…

Where does your Allah say that Sunnah is a part of the Islamic scripture? Where does he say he revealed the book AND the Sunnah?

Allah supposedly tells you to turn your face to the direction of Kaaba while praying! Why does he not also teach you the other alleged obligations of worship? What determines which rules will be revealed in the Koran and which ones will be taught through the Sunnah? Where is the notion of consistency?

Dear Hamba2han,

Here we go again. Not to the purpose of being off-topic. But this is interesting.

Allah is Uncreated and Eternal. Quran is Uncreated and Eternal. Now, you come with another point that SUNNAH EQUALS TO QURAN. That means Sunnah is also Uncreated and Eternal.

At the end, we have Allah, Quran and Sunnah which ARE Uncreated and Eternal. Three entities Uncreated and Eternal. That sounds like Three Gods to me.

What else equals to Quran and/or Sunnah?
