I was watching TBN
last night (Scrubs was over
) and I caught the end of a movie starring Anthony Quinn about Barrabas (they met in the catacombs, they said the Pater Noster, they crossed themselves on the forehead with the thumb, the incidental music was the Gregorian Kyrie… maybe this should go in the Traditional Catholicism Forum.
)
Well, then there was this guy going throughout Egypt, so I stopped, then he was in monasteries, attending Coptic Liturgies, etc… He was looking for the trail “The Holy Family” (his words) went on through Egypt. He borrowed heavily from the Infancy Narratives. He interviewed Pope Shenouda, quoted from Pope Theophilus, and talked about the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin in Zeitoun.
The remarkable thing was that this was on TBN and that he was very positive throughout the whole thing!
Anyone else see it?
Any other comments?
