I was watching TBN  last night (Scrubs was over 😉 ) and I caught the end of a movie starring Anthony Quinn about Barrabas (they met in the catacombs, they said the Pater Noster, they crossed themselves on the forehead with the thumb, the incidental music was the Gregorian Kyrie… maybe this should go in the Traditional Catholicism Forum. 🤷 )

Well, then there was this guy going throughout Egypt, so I stopped, then he was in monasteries, attending Coptic Liturgies, etc… He was looking for the trail “The Holy Family” (his words) went on through Egypt. He borrowed heavily from the Infancy Narratives. He interviewed Pope Shenouda, quoted from Pope Theophilus, and talked about the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin in Zeitoun.

The remarkable thing was that this was on TBN and that he was very positive throughout the whole thing!

Anyone else see it?

Any other comments?

No, I didn`t see it but I noticed last week when flipping through the channel guide they had a program on about St.Francis and St. Clare. of course it said Francis and Clare, sans the St. prefix. Maybe they are trying to reel in some Catholic and Orthodox viewers by throwing in a few programs that might actually appeal to Catholic and Orthodox now and again thinking they can get us to stick aropund and listen to the Protestent shows they have on. I will say a few weeks back they had on an excellent movie on King David.

It’s funny–I’ve watched re-runs of Archbishop Fulton Sheen giving presentations and sermons on TBN…go figure. I’m not complaining…😉

Prayers and petitions,
Alexius:cool:
