I would start out by saying that Jesus didn’t condemn rich people. Also, he did not tell people to pay taxes. Neither of those claims are in the bible.
Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s is usually the verse seen as telling people to pay taxes…I would start out by saying that Jesus didn’t condemn rich people. Also, he did not tell people to pay taxes. Neither of those claims are in the bible.
Especially self-righteous look-how-enlightened-I-am stupid.You can’t argue with stupid.![]()

Paul told people to pay their taxes.I would start out by saying that Jesus didn’t condemn rich people. Also, he did not tell people to pay taxes. Neither of those claims are in the bible.
I took that verse as meaning take care of all your earthly business so that you can give all that you have to me.Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s is usually the verse seen as telling people to pay taxes…

Im a Democrat and I go to church , and pray the rosary everyday
- ** I guess Democrats don’t go to church**.
- I’ve read the Bible several times, I’m unaware of Jesus promoting charity through government, or expanding/controlling government.
- You’d be hard pressed to find anything promoted by hippies that was promoted by Christ.
- Jesus never condemned the rich.
- Is the assumption that ANY level of taxation we must accept from our government overlords, without any protest or effort to correct?
Pfft first I would resist my urge to smack them silly. Then I would ponder why do radical Muslims have it so easy…all they need to do is declare them an infidel and behead them…Then I would remember being a Christian ain’t easy but that’s the price we pay for Salvation, Then I would say this.
So Jesus Christ was a subscriber to a philosophy that despises the very message Christ preached. So Jesus was a self-loathing hypocrite? Nope I think You and your stupid worthless drunk buddy Marx are.“The social principles of Christianity preach cowardice, self -contempt, abasement, submissiveness and humbleness, in short all the qualities of the rabble, and the proletariat, which will not permit itself to be treated as rabble, needs its courage, its self-confidence, its pride and its sense of independence even more than its bread. The social principles of Christianity are sneaking and hypocritical, and the proletariat is revolutionary.”
