Jesus's Brothers and sisters

I have this theory which I am hoping some of you can correct me on or corroborate.

Jesus could not have any brothers or sisters as when He died, they would inherit His throne and become the next King or Queen of Israel.

However, the hole which I see in my theory, is that His brothers or sisters would be 1/2 brothers or sisters, and hence would not inherit. And secondly would his sister’s inherit, or would the lineage pass on to His cousins?

Am I way off base here, onto something, smoking crack, correct?

🙂 I sense a harmless innocence behind your question.

It is quite possible (and my thought are by no means authoritative) that along the growing up years of Jesus, there would have been children who had lost their parents for one reason or other, orphans. Mary would’ve been like the mom that everyone considered their mom. Kind of like that neighborhood mom that everybody loved because she was kind with all the neighborhood children. I wouldn’t doubt that some of these children came to consider themselves as Mary’s children and closest friends of Jesus. This is just food for thought.
Now. As far as Mary having other natural children, she did not. And that’s another subject altogether with its own set of obvious circumstances.

I agree, Jesus was Mary’s only child, and she is a perpetual virgin - (do I say is or was a perpetual virgin)?

But I am wondering if there is a case about her not having children as this would continue the royal line?

The “hole” in the theory that I see is that Jesus didn’t ascend to the Jewish throne, that is he wasn’t recognized by Jewish or Roman authorities.

As for His other throne, I think he is still using it. 😉

It’s a very good thought, but yeah crack or something:p

The “royal line” continues with you and me and…everyone who listens to the word of God and keeps it…like Mary.
