Hi all what a testimony by tweetymom…I am sure many of you if not all will agree.🙂
I am a Catholic! I try and live my life as Jesus would have me do with love and kindness to all mankind. Not to be judgemental of those I disagree with . And I knew the reasom NLM left not running away but after all the insults he has taken I believe him to truly be a man of God and I thank God for him. Not being ashamed in his belief.
Thank you tweetymom and may God bless you especially for sharing your heart, especially making a statement like this…
We don’t all have to agree just show love to one another.👍
Amen

I believe what tweetymom said is an example of the one true christian church Jesus founded…

that is a church of christians who are willing to show their love to one another and to everyone in the world.

Praise be to God:)

That is what I want I strive to be, compassionate, understanding, and loving toward others.

I want to be part of that church too.

Anyone else want to be part of Jesus’s church of loving one another

tweetymom and I are the first two members.

come in and make your desire to love others known and keep this thread going,

Let’s show the unbelievers what christian love is all about in Jesus name

alleluia

Sanctify them in the truth; thy word is truth. As thou didst send me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be consecrated in truth. "I do not pray for these only, but also for those who believe in me through their word, that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. The glory which thou hast given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and thou in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that thou hast sent me and hast loved them even as thou hast loved me. Jn 17:17-23
God bless

…The Greatest of These is Love…

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;

Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you;

Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another;

and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another.

We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater;

Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart,

Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.

For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another;

This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.

Thank youso much for the lovely post and really brought tears to my eyes and put a song in my heart. Special words and now we have to make sure we do all. Sometimes it is hard but I know this is what Jesus wants for His Church universal. Praise God

Sometimes I post out of anger too, and I’m trying not too, b/c when it comes down to it, all Christians love Jesus…and Jesus wants us to be caring and peaceful…Although I love my religion and I will defend it if need be but I will try to be nicer, like whatevergirl on these forums…she says what she has to say but is always fair and nice…:)🙂

Definitely well said…The biggest problem I have is with agnostics and atheists…I mostly just stopped posting on their threads b/c I found myself being very insulting…I feel like they are insulting Jesus,so I take it very personal…but I’m trying to be accepting and nice towards them b/c they are entitled to their opinions just like anyone…and a good way to persuade someone into believing Jesus is by our words and actions…🙂

hi James,

amen…thank you for shaaring:)

when I read this, it is very much in line with what Paul writes about love in Cor 13…the whole chapter.

I love the last verse

Paul writes “three remain: faith hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

God bless you

Couple that with the “two great commandments” upon which "All the Law and Prophets are based, and you have it.

Hi all,

After tweetymom responded to me in another thread, I was so blessed by it, I was inspired to copy her message and post it here.

My prayer is that you are blessed by her message just as much as I was.
I wish we would act like Christ would have us act me included in love and charity. We will never all agree until we see Jesus face to face and I believe it will be so glorious:thumbsup: that we won’t care if we agree or not
God bless you tweetymom

Thank you once again. I am so far from perfect but I know Jesus loves me in spite of myself. I am so thankful for where He has brought me from!!! My husband sent me this last night bt email. God does’t judgs us by our brain He does by our heart. I relly thought about that a lot lately. Sometimes my brain is a little off balance but Jesus is always working on my heart I praise Him for that:love:

So friend what your suggesting is that we should ignore truth so we can all “get along”🤷

Acts 5: 27 “And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them, 28 saying, “We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and you intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.” 29 But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than men.”

*2 Cor. 13: “8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.”

*Gal. 2: “5 to them we did not yield submission even for a moment, that the truth of the gospel might be preserved for you.”

Thanks but no thanks,

Know that you continue in my prayers,

Pat

Truth can be expressed in many ways. Whether gently or harshly, smoothly or coarsely, Lordly or abjectly, the Truth remains the Truth.
The difference though is in how that Truth is received based on how it is expressed by the messenger.
What does the expression of the Truth say about the messenger of that Truth?
Is the messenger Lordly or humble?
Does the messenger wish to “Draw” another closer to the Truth or “Push” the Truth on them?

Dialogue requires two pople.
Each must WANT to dialogue, that is exchange views, and learn from each other.
When the Truth is expressed badly more harm is done than good.
Some cannot see that. More’s the pity.
I Pray we all take this thread in th spirit it is intended.

Peace

I agree with you so much James. I believe that Jesus wants us to love oneanother more and critize less! Mankind has always diagreed on somethings since time began. Thats why we are not in heaven and when we get there it will be in agreement and love with the Master:thumbsup:

Thank you my friend. You are of course right:thumbsup:

What is unknown is that there were extensive and prolonged PM debates prior to this post.
