Jesus's fulfillment of the prophecies?

Hey everyone.

I’m talking on the phone with my godfather right now, and he has given me an assignment. I am a ‘skeptic’, so prepare.

He wants me to ask a question to you all. Here’s mine: What are all the prophecies in the OT that had been made about the messiah, and how do we know that Jesus is the actual fullfiller of those prophecies?

At first, I want to keep this thread limited to this question, then from there I will go on to discussing it. Thanks.

Gee, couldn’t the authors of the New Testament “retrodict” the prophecies? How do we know that everything in the Bible (or in this context the Gospels) is accurate?
