I recollect wise words I once heard from a Greek Orthodox priest: “You can teach, but you can’t force people to learn.”

I was adopted through Catholic Charities…is it not possible the Mary, while remaining a virgin, have taken in other children and raised them as her own?
I do not think that would be uncommon in that era.
Just a theory how Jesus may have grown up with siblings and Mary, still being a mother, retaining her purity…

The text contradicts you.
And, there’s text that contradicts you.
Where is this text?

@Julius_Caesar, @hope, @bartholomewB, @Gorgias, and others,

Regarding, Lk. 24:33-34:

As you all are aware, initially it seemed to me the speakers of verse 34 were the two disciples of Emmaus, and that the “Simon” named was someone other than who you were saying: the apostle Peter.

After reading the text in the original Koine Greek: λέγοντας ὅτι ὄντως ἠγέρθη ὁ κύριος καὶ ὤφθη Σίμωνι, and Commentary on Luke, ch. 24:33 by St. Cyril of Alexandria, I stand corrected on both counts.

Thank you all for keeping your cool during your feelings of frustration that I had been the cause of, even though it was unintentional.

Peace.

Faith unchallenged is not a strong faith. Your question made me look deeper in which I am grateful to you. Thank you
