Yet, what one finds offensive is not an arguable issue. We simply disagree.

It is not just the article, alone, that is disturbing, it is the Thread title:

“Jewish Rabbi authors guidelines on killing gentiles children.”

This sounds very much like the false “Blood Libel” charges brought against the Jews that circulated throughout Christian Europe in past centuries. Do you not see the similarities here?

If the Thread title had been “Extremist” Jewish Rabbi authors killing," it might not be so offensive.

Everyone knows one Jewish Rabbi does not represent all of Judaism in its many fractured forms.

The “extremist” part might be obvious to you and to me, but many Christians have little understanding of Judaism. I’m just looking at the big picture, which includes the history of Christian stances on Judaism for the last 2000 years.

Even in doing so, you haven’t yet plumbed the whole of what there is to know.
Also, there is what Christianity actually teaches, what it truly means (there are so many misconceptions going about it even among Christians, even among Catholics…), so to think you’ll get it from Jewish rabbis… even they can’t plumb the whole of it and would offer only a deformed perception of what the Church truly has consistently taught, even though their side of it offers some true insight.

It doesn’t bother me that you hold any given opinion, I just think you’re way out of line throwing around admonishments against anti-semitism that you yourself seem to have recognized is not actually present in the article posted. You are bringing it up because some people MIGHT use it that way, even though nobody has.

It would be like if I randomly barged into your house with a fire extinguisher when you were making dinner because I was afraid you might burn the house down. You’d probably have me arrested, or at least think I was very strange.

Basically, chill out. As another poster wrote, if anti-semites show up and start posting in this thread or any other, we’ll deal with it
