Have fun in your phony paradise full of Oneness Pentecostals and Mormons, Robin des Bois.

Wow. I guess I was too subtle. No matter; I’m sure others will have plenty to say about your, um…creative taxonomy of who can get to heaven and who cannot. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

I didn’t say I know who goes to Paradise, I was just putting a possibility. I’m not God to know exactly. Polytheism is an unforgivable sin in Islam, but that doesn’t mean all polytheists will go to Hell, some probably will go to Heaven if they were polytheist just out of ignorence. Now, if someone knows that their’s only One God, but still engage in polytheism, then s/he’s doomed to Hell.
About the Trinity, I don’t know to what exactly it amounts. I said maybe there are doomed, but I didn’t say I know for sure whether they are doomed or no.

The trinity is not polytheism, so we’re good!

However, if someone knows that there is only One G-d, why would they engage in polytheism? Do you mean in the sense of lesser gods or demi-gods, as in Hinduism, which is not really polytheistic? I think there are also tribal gods in parts of the world, even among so-called Catholics.

When Prophet Abraham asked the people about why they worship statutes who can bring them neither harm not good, they told him that they found their forfathers doing it.

Yes, indeed. Certain forms of Judaism (there were about 20 or so competing varieties) were polytheistic to begin with. It took a while for ethical monotheism to win the people over.

Most Protestant denominations believe in the Trinity. You may choose to quibble with regard to the Jewish and Muslim beliefs in the same G-d, but not really those of the Protestants, who are, after all, Christians albeit heretics according to the Catholic Church.
My point was that differences in traditions matter. The Catholic understanding of who God is and what His will is for humanity is NOT this same as the Jewish or Muslim or Protestant understanding. That said Protestants are Christians and their views are generally closer to the Catholic view. Continuing with the portrait analogy, Protestants are trying to paint Christ but don’t quite get it right.

God Bless

One of the things I take to heart about Islamic commentary I see online is the continual slanderous suggestion of polytheism because of the trinity.

God is The Lord our God, the only God and we have no other Gods - and when I see people painting Christianity like it’s some pagan pantheon because of the holy trinity it looks… basically willing.

I will not get into the whole thing of quite explicitly denying Christ since ultimately that is between you guys and God, and if a pope can be charitable about such anathema on the basis that you are basically well-motivated people trying to devote yourselves to what you think is God, then so can we, but eesh that whole thing really grinds my gears. Commandment 1 of our faith, people, y’know? 🙂

It does. But the Trinity is probably considered as associating partners with God, which is a sin in Islam. But I’m not sure whether Trinitarians can go to Paradise or no.
Excuse this probably very uneducated question, please. Do you guys pray to Muhammad like Christians pray to Jesus? And do you think that Muhammad was greater than Jesus or Moses? Do you believe that G-ds’ word is for ever? And if so, how come you think He changed it and told you something else through Muhammad?

We don’t pray to Muhammad, that would be blasphemous. And we believe he was the best prophet. And we don’t believe God and Jesus told people to believe in a Trinity.

just one more question please 😃

Do you believe that the Temple will be rebuilt? It’s only Christians that say that the Church is the new Temple IF I understood this correctly 😊

I don’t know honestly.
