I don’t know if we have concluded the thread that we all believe in the same God, or is there still some things that need to be clarified, else the thread could be endless.

If there were other queries, might be worthwhile making a different thread, because the topic of this one was whether or not we believe in the same God. Which we do.
👍

I was responding to a post and making the point that we all believe in the same God, that is all. The poster mentioned only the “moon god” reference I made and applied it to the overall post, that is what I meant by “close” to what I meant.
Ok:)

Just as Jesus(PBUH) performed Miracles, so to did Muhammed(PBUH) but only by the will of God, as they have no power, both are just men but Allah grants them these miracles to convince those.

Just as the previous prophets did, each having performed Miracles of their own ie Moses(PBUH) and Solomon(PBUH)
Why is it then that the Quran states that Mohamad is only a messenger/warner.

7: And the Unbelievers say: “W**hy is not a sign sent down to him from his Lord?” But thou art truly a warner, and to every people a guide.

I asked a question about Love. How is God’s love shown in having the moon split? Splitting the sea for the Israelites saved them. Now the moon? Tks.

I will leave that for one of our Muslim brethren to answer.

There will always be things to clarify, you know how people are and by people I mean all the 7 billion two legged creatures who live on this rock we call earth. :rotfl:

This was the Jewish people that were asking for a Miracle, so they were given a Miracle the splitting of the Moon, which caused some of them to convert, but yet some remained in denial.

Just as Moses(PBUH) performed his miracles, the Pharoah and his followers still remained in denial.

But there are lots of other examples to show us God’s Mercy and love.

We have hadiths(events from the life of the Prophet), a woman was asked would she be able to throw her child into the fire, NO, so the Prophet Muhammed(PBUH) said Gods love for us, is greater than a mothers love for her child so how can God do the same.
answered it previously,

Also I can give more examples, but something I would like to point out, why do people need miracles to be grateful of God, can they not be grateful of all the things God has already provided ie food, clothes, roof over our heads, ability to breath and not just kill us on the spot for disbelieving.

There are examples of miracles, but for Muslims its not about what can God do for us, its about what we can do for God, cos at the end of the day we r in this life to prove ourselves to God. and do, meaning prove our love for God.

We are also not supposed to look for miracles all the time. God is very patient with us, I never met anyone who has that kind of patience before, if God had human nature we’d all be dead and wiped out of existence.

BTW we all believe the coming of Christ, so even if we do have differences I’m sure we will all unite then.

So shall have to wait and see if Jesus(PBUH) will declare himself Christian or Muslim.

In the meantime lets learn from one another, and I’m gonna leave on this note

The Prophet Muhammed(PBUH) said: You cannot truly believe until you love for your brother what you would love for urself.

and we are all brothers n sisters here.

👍👍👍

Super thumbs up, God is so patient and loving. :)😃

So i’m just a bit curios did Jesus(PBUH) have human nature or do you believe he was different?

Another thing that I should have added to that is the hubris and absurdity of people (regardless of their religion) who say that other people are going to hell. Personally, I wouldn’t want that responsibility and anyone who tries to assume it is only kidding themselves, God truly, truly does have an enormous amount of patience with us.

Peace

True at the end of the day that decision is up to God, as Muslims (I know probably all Muslims don’t practice it) but I have come to learn and appreciate that even after someone has died you cannot say they r going to hell because u never know the moment before their death they may have believed or done some good or something as such that we cannot insinuate someone is going hell.

We believe that He was/is human and divine. For us it is an amazing thing that God would become human and suffer what was probably the most horrible form of execution in history for our salvation and/or to prove His love for us. You could say that this was done to show that God understands the life He has made. If there are others who can offer another explanation in a better way, please proceed.

Exactly and I think one would have to be a little “nuts”, with their human limitations to want to take up such a responsibility. Either that or they would have to be very, very conceited to say the least.

How is this connected to the moon splitting if it shows God’s love for man his creation?

Never heard of a near-death experience? Lots of Christians claim to have experienced it and that to them is nothing short of a miracle
Define Miracle: Something that breaks the laws of nature.
It’s a bit obvious that it wil be hard to imagine such a miracle

In what way do we praise God Almighty for his wonderous deeds for splitting the moon? :hmmm:
