I am about to buy/preorder Jimmy Akin’s new book, Mass Revision, and I was thinking of getting his older one on the mass, too (Mass Confusion), but I don’t know if everything that is covered in Mass Confusion would be covered in Mass Revision. Should I just skip the older one or is there a lot that is different between the two?

Hopefully someone at Catholic Answers will see this and be able to tell me.

I thought the same thing. I have ordered the new version. I am wondering when it is going to be released.

Anyone have any idea?

If I remember correctly from Patrick Coffins radio show, Jimmy said that he covers everything in the first book, along with the revisions. I may be wrong on that (not trying to kill sales of the first book). Anybody know for sure?

I wil be sure to order this book. Is anyone aware of any other books in the works that deal with the revisions? I find many folks are in a flap over changes, and I believe a little education will go a long way towards making the transition go more smoothly.

There are several that I have heard of that are addressing the changes…but I can’t remember any of the titles. I am bias though and love Jimmie’s writing style!

I have two volumes in print, and a third volume in the works (on the Eucharistic Prayers).

Education is part of the equation… but there are also some issues with the new translation.
