She doesn’t donate that much it seems.

She knew her politics pretty well at least well in enough to use it in her “shtick”

She voted for President Obama but became disallusioned by him as many others did.
The times were right and it was OK to say she was a republican.

She may have been more of an independent. She wasn’t going to go against the Hollywood crowd and make more enemies -a great business woman. She was fiscally conservative and was looking for someone to cut her taxes. Apparently she thought Pres. Obama would do that.

No she wasn’t jewish and a democrat. Many articles claim she was a prochoice republican but then must have gotten disallusion with G.W. Bush and in his second term voted for Kerry and so forth - switched to a democrat but became more like an independent.

That is my take at least from the internet.

She did adult comedy, was funny but definitely could have used lots of “bleeping”. On FP, she was painfully honest with Hollywood and celebrities. At the end of her career, she made a lot of money asking questions and could get answers that no one else would have been able to get. She was into fashion and understood that American culture is into fashion. She highlighted that and filled a niche.

No perfection here. Some of us overeat, others are slothful. Ms Rivers advocated for the destruction of innocent children.
