Job Dilemma

Ok, I have a problem that I need some advice on. I had been looking for a job in the summer, since I was just going to school. I ended up getting one, which wasn’t my first choice job, but I took it since it was better than nothing. While I started working at the job, I got an opportunity for an interview at a job I’d rather have. I got the job, and now I have two jobs, which I don’t want because I am going to school, volunteering and I don’t have time. Also, the first job I don’t like at all, they are not very nice or friendly. Only one of the managers is, but I just don’t like the job or any of it. The problem is, I got scheduled this Sunday in the morning until 2 and the other job scheduled me at 130. I don’t know what to do , because I asked two other employees if they could work for me and they couldn’t. I could try asking others, but I don’t have their number. I am stuck, because I don’t want to tell my new job an excuse, and I’d rather work there anyway. I was going to say I have to go to church, which I do. But, they are rude about it and might say something rude like you never told us or whatever. Would it be a sin if I just didn’t show up? I don’t know what to do!! Any suggestions? Thanksss

If you wish to resign from one job, then do so with proper notice.

Keep the better of the two jobs, You as a young person don`t need to be working two jobs, unless you are helping your family out financially. When You get older , You will be working enuff as it is, while your young, give yourself some elbow room & enjoy your young years, so You can have time for other projects etc

Yeah, I agree to have a discussion with the boss. A lot of people have two jobs these days, and it’s a relatively small overlap. If you are looking to move out of the one job, I would start making motions towards doing so - give your boss notice, so they can start looking for a new person. It is the professional way to do things.
