Satan challenged God to put Job’s love to the test and he agreed. Why stop there.?
Down in the earthly arena the spirit world criticizes man for his failings and cheers him on in the bleachers filling him with assurance that he too can be perfect. Man accepts this as true. This hope drives men on as they race along neck in neck with his neighbour who is also trying to that finish line of perfection.
Then one day all men stop and they are silent. The beings in the bleachers don’t understand what is going on. A representative from man’s group comes to the VIB booth for an audience with God. The stadium is silent, you can hear a pin drop.
Man speaks. “Father, we offer a proposition. We have heard it said that it is possible for man to attain perfection here on earth with the help of thy grace. Man requests that this be tried. We suggest that some angels be born of man, and as men, not receiving any more graces that would stack their success in their favor, nor receiving any less that would make it possible for them to fail. He must not know who he truly is, his angelic essence being masked, and must not possess his angelic spirit, but possess a soul as well as a body. All the angels must be born in man, and if he qualifies, he then can take his place that was reserved for him in waiting in the beatific state and nature he was originally in. If not, he becomes judged as man”.
God agreed. As each angel takes his test, the bleachers are emptying quickly, but the unknowing man-angels don’t give up hope as they run their course in the arena. Soon there will be no one left in the bleachers and the perfect being still won’t be found.
