Joe Biden Considering Gina Raimondo for HHS if He Wins, She Legalized Abortions Up to Birth​

If he becomes president, high on Joe Biden’s list to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo.

The pro-abortion Democrat governor recently signed a bill legalizing abortions up to birth in her state, and she, like Biden, believes killing unborn babies in abortions is “health care.”

Politico reports two people connected with Biden’s transition team confirmed that Raimondo is being considered for HHS secretary. They said the Rhode Island governor has strong leadership experience, and they mentioned her quick response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Raimondo says she won’t be HHS secretary​

Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo announced Thursday that she has taken herself out of contention to be President-elect Joe Biden’s health secretary.

“I am not going to be president-elect Biden’s nominee for HHS secretary,” she said during a press conference on Thursday. “My focus is right here in Rhode Island, as I have said.”
