WILMINGTON, Del. — Over his near half-century in public life,

[Joseph R. Biden Jr. has made many speeches](https:

good speeches,
bad speeches,
campaign kickoff speeches and
concession speeches,
speeches without proper attribution to original sources,
speeches so impossibly Biden that no one could ever accuse him of lifting anything.

“No one ever doubts that I mean what I say,” Mr. Biden, 77, is fond of telling audiences.

“The problem is, I sometimes say all that I mean.”

The Speech Joe Biden Has Been Preparing For His Entire Life
Aug 20, 2020 — Some of it is familiar, after almost 50 years in politics. Some of it, like delivering such a momentous address to a virtual crowd, wil

Doublespeak is language that deliberately obscures, disguises, distorts, or reverses the meaning of words. Doublespeak may take the form of euphemisms (e.g., “downsizing” for layoffs and “servicing the target” for bombing),[1] in which case it is primarily meant to make the truth sound more palatable. It may also refer to intentional ambiguity in language or to actual inversions of meaning. In such cases, doublespeak disguises the nature of the truth. Doublespeak is most closely associated with political language.[2][3] The word is comparable to George Orwell’s Newspeak and Doublethink as used in his book Nineteen Eighty-Four , though the term Doublespeak does not appear there.[4]

See if I got this straight. You want people to imagine what they will, and put those words in someone else’s mouth?

Ample opportunities for calumny here. No thank you!

I mean that I suspect that some voters were concerned about Biden’s age and cognitive function, however Trump is also getting on in years and there are no guarantees about his cognitive function. Given the choice between a gentle old fool and a hateful old fool, many would vote for gentle.

I have been watching things political for over 50 years - longer than Joe has been spending tax dollars. He is already in steep decline. What will he be in in four years, let alone eight? I do not see him as a viable candidate simply because the newly radicalized (D) party has decided to employ him. And, almost no one on the (D) side wanted Harris during the nominating process. Now it seems clear that she will be president. I predict that the very people who thrust/coerced/enticed/convinced a mentally declining man into the position will seek to have him removed, as he is not their ultimate goal. Will we have a radical subversive US government? As the fraud mounts, it appears so. The visceral hatred of President Trump will reap what it sows.

Unless this clearly fraudulent tide is stemmed, I see the final result being one horrendous blood bath. Internal or external. Look at history. Look at human nature. Certain foreign nations are poised to strike at their neighbors - held back only by US resolve. When that resolve is euthanized, the dam will quickly be breached. Sadly, it will be blood rather than water which flows.

Perhaps a second Trump term would have been even worse. Either way it was bound to be a disaster.
