The previous posts have a bit of the puzzle, actually this means that the Word of God, which is Christ in the flesh, which is also the bible, is the Law of God. The Word of God is the Law of God, Gods perfect Law, and the Law, that is the Word, will judge you because the Law is already the Law, and the law was made for those who are in sin. As the law judges you, your whole life is a testament to that judgment. Everyday, every action, is already judged by the Law, which is the word, which is already established, and will last forever. And that sin will keep stacking up, sin upon sin, never to be resolved by anybody escept Christ during His good pleasure, **IFFF **HE wills it. And the wages of sin is death. and it is appointed to man to die once then the judgment.
On the last day, those who are dead, will not be raised again for judgment, their life has already been a judgment, and it is only appointed to man, to die once, then the judgment. So if you die unsaved, the law has already judged you and you are going to be under the wrath of God, which is to be destroyed by God never to return to consciensness. On the last day those who are dead in Christ, will be thrown out of their graves as we read in Math 24 and other places, these people who are dead, will not feel this happen, they will not know they have been thrown out of their graves, and this final act of God is the final great shame to be put forth upon them. As it is a great shame to be thrown out of your grave for all to see and know… TO KNOW, that they are under that wrath of God.
In which case the Queen of the South, Sheeba, as well as the Ninevah, are to be a judgment unto us, as they lived thier whole life contrary to God, and in sin, yet when they heard the word, because faith come by hearing and hearing by the word of God, then that word was applied to their heart BY CHRIST… They did nothing of their own. God was the one who made them repent, and so this is a judgment to us because they heard the word and believed, and those who die unsaved who heard the word and didnt’ trust, will be shamed by this fact for all to see. They did not choose to believe the word, as we read no man can come to the Father, except if God draws him. meaning if it is God’s will, and during Gods good pleasure, that word will be applied to your heart and your sins will be paid for. This can only happen if we get on our knees and beg God for mercy, if we pray, oh God, I know i am a sinner, I deserve hell, I am nothing, but please, please have mercy on Me. Please open my eyes, please help me to be with you. Because I can’t do it on my own, I need you to save me.
Like the publican who smote his breast and would dare not look up into heaven, yet cried out begging for mercy, this is a picture of how we are to approach God. Broken and begging for mercy. Like Ninevah who heard the word by Jonah and believed, and sat in sackcloth in ashes for 40 days, which is a picture of becoming broken before God. Now it wasn’t their desire or will to become broken, it WAS GOD who drew them to beg for mercy, it was God who drew them to become broken. All Gods work. What happenes when a person trusts in the bible and the word of God is that they will begin to have an intense desire to do the will of God, which of course God also gave them, And so, on this front, this is the ONLY indicator that a person is saved. The ONLY WAY to hope that you might be saved, is if you have an earnest and intense desire to be in the word, to do His will, and if you feel great shame and guilt when you sin and you never want to sin again, of course we will sin, our bodeis are sin, yet this is only an INDICATOR that MAYBE we are saved. All Gods work. Even a baptism is work that we do, and will not be a precondition for salvation. The work has to be done by Christ, and you have to trust the bible to recognise this fact.
On the last day, those who are true believers, have already been judged, because they have recieved their new resureccted souls already, and so their sin has been paid for by Christ already. Though a person may still sin because our physical body is still desiring of sin, it is our resurrected soul that is clean, in war with our body which is sin. For the true believer, they will have an intense… INTENSE… Desire to be in the Word of God and walk a path accordingly obeying the laws of the bible and if they sin, they will feel great guilit and shame and try their best to rectify it and walk accordingly.
