John Hagee and aborted children

I am trying to understand some beliefs that fundamentalists hold.

1. Recently John Hagee made some comments about the Holocaust exisiting so that a Jewish nation could be created. Why did people get so upset?
2. I heard that some fundamentalsits believe that aborted children’s sufferings are to benefit us, kind of like vicarious atonement?

IMO, he is out there, Have friends who love him. He is not your normal fundamentalist, he is a Zionist, a “Dominionist”, and believes in a dual covenant theology. Also has a bunch of books to sell!

He thinks warring with Arabs is part of God’s will, it would quicken the “Rapture” and coincide nicely with his books.
