He latest series is based on “False World Religions” in which he sayes that the following is based on Nimrods Babeloynian religion.

Praying to Mary, Purgatory etc.

He sayes that nimrod created the sacrement system.

Good old Hagee, life must be hard in his church owned 2 million dollar hunting ranch.

Rapture-bunny Hagee reminds me of THIS fellow.

How can anyone take him seriously???

The Best part that I forgot to mention is that he alludes the the Catholic Church.

He doesnt come out and say which faith it is like he does with the Musliums, he shows a picture of a priest on his chart, but doesnt say who this faith really is…

Are you talking about “Counterfeit Christianity” in one of his sermon series?

John Hagee really imitates a pope unto himself. His critic Christian counterparts are all dismissed if they conflict with Hagee’s interpretation of Scripture and even his beliefs of religious geopolitics.

In one of his televised sermons, he was vigorously denouncing several of the Church Fathers (though really, his general point was that there really isn’t any Church Fathers at all) - specifically writings of St. Jerome, St John Chrysostom, Eusebius, St Justin Martyr, and Tertullian, declaring many of their writings as anti-Semitic and some of the first causes of anti-Semitism that would spread into Europe. I couldn’t believe the anger and deceit he possessed when denouncing these great men of God.

It’s quite interesting then when some other Evangelical pastors on these same Protestant TV networks quote vastly from these same Church Fathers to properly teach their congregations about certain doctrinal beliefs (though these same quotes only refute other Evangelical pastors on the same TV network on certain beliefs). Will these Evangelicals ever agree amongst themselves on what they all believe?

Oh yea, “World War III has begun!!” John Hagee says so because “it’s in the Bible!!” It’s funny, the Jehovah’s Witnesses had said the same exact thing in their Watchtower magazine all throughout the Cold War era - needless to say, it never happened, and they stopped saying it. 🙂

John Hagee might have something with Iran and their quest for nuclear weapons. Thank God he isnt arming himself for mutually assured religious destruction since his church is 15 miles from my house 😉

Ya know, ever since his commercial for that cruise…I just have no respect for the man at all. I don’t know how many of you saw it, in the commercial he talks about the different activities, then he says, “and the FOOOOOOOOODDD…Good Lord the Foooooood!” Every time I saw the commercial, I thought to myself, “didn’t God say gluttony was a sin?” He looks like a pig when he says it too… I know that is uncharitable, but gosh darn… he does!

Indeed. One thing that has always “triggered” an alarm in my spirit of certain Evangelical preachers is if they are very overweight. Excluding the rare disease of people who suffer from natural overweight and the medical inability to lose it, it’s quite clear most of these obese preachers are paying lip-service about sacrifice.

I’m not sure if Catholic priests, bishops, or religious take heed on such warnings concerning their appearances. I hope so. I can’t say I’ve seen even a few Catholic clergy with a very overweight appearance, and considering how many throughout the world.

I’m going to be as charitable as possible, so I’ll say this this way… John Hagee is oftentimes, an out and out nutjob.

Maybe we should email John Haggee Ministries and ask him to debate his views here.

I sure have! But we all have our weaknesses that must be worked out…

You would think Hagee would be too busy worshiping the Jews to care about us Catholics

Haggee supports the nation of Israel, believing that the Bible tells him that it is imperative to, but it is quite a stretch to say that he worships the Jews.

I am sure that he believes christ will come back to Israel after the Rapture.

Also he said the Jews don’t need Jesus to be saved. Is he kidding us?

It is very clear that there is a lack of knowledge when it comes to what the scriptures say about the Jewish people and Israel. A few things to keep in mind…Jesus and Mary were and still are Jewish. In the book of Revelation, Jerusalem is where God will set up His New Kingdom (Rev. 21). The Prophets and Disciples who wrote the bible are Jewish. Face it, God’s chosen people are Jewish. If they would not have been blinded to Christ being the Messiah, He would not have been sent to the cross. His crucfiction extended salvation to the Gentiles. If you would read the bible and not rely on other people to tell you what it says you would see that Israel is the apple of God’s eye. Your eyes would also be opened to whatelse God thinks, considering the sacred scripture is the INSPIRED WORD OF GOD, all of it. Stick to this book and you won’t be lead down a path that fallable men (including the early church fathers) could lead you down. I suggest you read Acts 20:29-31 Paul states to the Ephesian Elders in the church,… “Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things…” Jesus was the word made flesh and you need to read his word to know him. I could type a whole book on this tonight but the most important thing you have to remember is the FREE GIFT OF SALVATION that He bought for us on the cross. “It is finished” “Paid in full” “Once for all”. Search the scriptures for yourself, your answers are there.

Hello JCPeacekeeper and welcome to CAF!

First of, do you know that in EVERY Mass we hear one OT reading, a psalm, a reading from a non-gospel NT book, and a reading from the Gospel? Do you know that there’s an indulgence for reading the Bible for 30 minutes? My point is that the Bible is important for Catholics and we believe that it is the inspired, inerrant word of God as well. You’re right that Jesus is the Word made flesh, but God’s word cannot replace God Himself. How did you come to know about Jesus–did you rely on your pastor or friends whom are falliable men as well?

Secondly, Catholics affirm and believe that salvation is a free gift from God, that it is once for all, paid in full. (We do not believe that we must “earn” our salvation.) However, this free gift can be rejected due to our God given free will.

Thirdly, it sounds like you believe that if Jews knew Jesus was the Messiah then He’d not been put to death. Did Jesus come to save the Jews and then when His plan failed He died for both Jews and Gentiles? If so, then this calls in question Jesus’ divinity due His lack of foreknowledge. The fact that Paul writes “once for all” suggests that Jesus did not come for only the Jews, but for all people. Also, not all Jews didn’t believe that Jesus wasn’t the Messiah. His Mother certainly did. The Apostles did. The martyrs and the confessors did.

For about the Church and Israel, read this article: catholic.com/thisrock/1999/9902chap.asp

Greetings~

The non believing Jews will know the truth at the end when they see Jesus saves them from destruction.
