There is really no need to be confused by anything from Jack Chick. He is a vicious hater of the Catholic Church and hasn’t a clue as to what we really believe. He’s been publishing this tripe for years and those who love to hate the Church wallow in it. Please, spend your time in the scriptures and prayer, talking with the Lord and not in the garbage dump which is what Chick tracts are.
As a Protestant (54 years) I was never persecuted. As a Catholic (17 glorious years), I have been persecuted and vilified. THAT is a cause for joy and it helps me to know I’m in the right place because Jesus said that the world would do to HIS FOLLOWERS just what it did to Him. Take heart. Those who truly follow Him, he said, would be persecuted, lied about, villified, and all manner of evil said against them. Jesus said that when they persecute you “leap for joy for great is your reward in heaven for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”
