John Hagee= Extreme Anti- Catholic

Pastor Hagee has never accused a practicing catholic that he isn’t saved. All he says is that Mary cannot save you. Nor praying to “saints” will save you. No one but Jesus Christ can save you. I have listened to him for 10 years and during that time not once did I hear him say to all of the catholics who listen in to leave the Roman Church.

His love for the Jews is absolute, to his merit. It is his uncompromising belief that they remain God’s Chosen. They have been blinded to Jesus As Messiah for His time when Jesus will return. Hagee has only tried to help many of the scattered Jews return to the Land God gave to them in a Covenent, and that covenenat is unbreakable. God said so.

This man’s ministry has reached millions and has brought them to Christ. This is no evil man but a man being used by God. All you want to do is see the non-catholic label . I am so sick of the brethen doing this to each other. We may not all have the same dogma but we all are Christians.

And Jesus , the Lord of lords and Kings of kings must be the center of our admiration.

We must face the fact that many of our traditions that have become our sacrements developed from roman society practices. Do they, in their present form, amount to paganism? NO! It is too bad we chrsitians didn’t stay with Judaic -style of worship which is what I believe we will be doing when Jesus returns wearing His prayer shawl. After all, it has the Name of God in the corner knotted tassle.

The Roman Church did do horrific things. Some popes have played the political game in order to allow this institution to survive, When they should have let God take care of it, if it was to be His Will.

Please do not doubt my soul for it is quite saved thank you very much. When I die my next breath will be in Heaven. Yes I am forgiven by the shed Blood of Lord. My sins will be buried in the Sea of forgetfullness, never to be remembered any more by God Himself. My life, yes it will be judged by Chrsit when He sits on the Burma Judgement Seat. Most of it will be burned up for so much of my life i have trashed in sin. But I will win a few crowns that I can throw at His Feet. And a few jewels to be woven into my robe. And God Himself will wipe away all my tears and I will touch His Face.

I love my Roman Catholic Church. But no sermon I ever heard told me this truth that is biblically based.

You missed the whole point of my post, I never said anything about Hagee talking about saving or converting Catholics.

Hagee is making up historical events that did not take place or his revisionist view of history is not factual , nor can he back up any of his claims with scholarly papes or reviews.

I never stated that Catholics have not had any sort of blood on their hands either, but when a man who 9,000 an hour for his ministry, along with his false historical claims, he deserves scrutiny.

WOW!!!

I am truly shocked at what I’m reading, I never realized that he is anti-catholic. As I’ve said, I’ve never heard him say anything bad about Catholics. Let us pray that the Holy Spirit opens his eyes to see the fullness of God’s revelation.

I just saw the telecast you are talking about. He said that hitler wanted to continue what the catholic church has been doing for 1000 years! He also said the crusaders were the roman catholic army whose mission was to kill jews all accross europe and the middle east. he then talked about how the christian state was formed in rome and how it was paganized and belief in christs atonement was cast aside for her sacraments.

I can’t believe the things this guy was saying. I mean, i was thinking what an idiot.

Sad thing is, so many believe this stuff.:confused:
 
This alignment with Israel is just sickening. He looks like Limbaugh before the pills. He’s a “rapture bunny”. If he feels so strongly about this, then maybe he should join the IDF on their next patrol in Southern Lebanon! Anyway, I go to a church WITHOUT a Ticketmaster terminal in front, so what do I know?
 
The fact that Rev. Hagee, and a thousand others, have incorrect and erroneous ideas about certain historical events hardly makes him “anti-catholic”.

It only means he is quite human, and in need of correction or at least discussion when the events are subject to interpretation.

Unless someone wants to ban the Church or her activities, or .has ordered his ushers to bar Catholics from his building, its pretty much unfair to label his disagreements and myopia about certain facts as “anti-catholicism.”

People like Hagee are not worth losing sleep over. The best thing to do is ignore him. Heretics like him are only out for one purpose and that’s for personal gain. Assuming he’s been exposed to the Catholic faith he will meet the judgement of our Lord.
 
Yesterday, Sunday, August 19, 2007, John Hagee again was hocking his series on Jerusalem and “the end times.” He talked about the Catholic Church having to repent of the Crusades whch he indicated was a time that the Catholic Church went down to the Holy Land and killed the Jews and took their money. The Catholic Church did no such thing. The Byzantines asked the Pope for help because the “Muslim hoardes” were overrunning the Holy Land. Hagee deliberately (or ignorantly) twisted history to suit his purposes.

He went on to show a huge image of “the harlot” (from the book of Revelation) and indicated that that was the Catholic Church - he was advertising his tape series in which he said that he tells about this harlot system and how to be sure you are not a part of it.

The whole “church service” was a grand theatrical production - not the stuff “church services” should be made of. Where was Jesus in all of this? It was sad and disgusting.

It left me with the question I’ve had so often - “Is this the stuff Jesus shed His precious blood for?”

I believe he said it’s found in Fox’s Book of Martyrs but I’m not such how much credience there is in that book. How do you know that he was refering to the CC as the Whore of Babylon?

I called the Prayer Line and asked if what I thought I heard was what I heard. The people have been taught the typical false impressions of the Catholic Church and that is what they are opposed to. They encouraged me to come out of the Catholic Church and get somewhere where it is Christ centered. Before it was all over with they had handed me off to three people and none of them could answer my questions. The second person was a young man who was enamoured with “Pastor Hagee” who he thought had all truth. He told me that we had to go by the faith alone and scripture alone and could not ask saints to pray for us; we need to go directly to God. I said, “Excuse me but how does that fit with the fact that you are running a prayer line there for people to call in and request you to pray for them.” He was taken aback. He stammered, “Well, but you can’t ask Mary to pray for you.” and he handed me off to another lady.

The guy is a hater, plain and simple. I do not listen to this kind of rhetoric and garbage. many of what I like to call “super-evangelicals” seem to always take cheap and historically wrong shots at Catholics and liturgically active Protestants. I wonder where they trace their roots to.

Good witnessing! What do you think is the best way to deal with anti-Catholic scheed? Ignore it? Pray? Write or call them? Invite them to these forums? 🤷 I am so sick and tired of Pastor Hagee ripping the CC without merit…:mad: Why doesn’t the man just do his homework or better yet debate some real Catholics for a change? What gives?!?:confused:

They are cut off from their roots - especially those who call themselves Independent or Non-Denominational - that means that they can go out and teach “any wind of doctrine” and they do.

In some way their roots go back to what was called the “Great Awakening” in the 18th century where they began to EXPERIENCE their conversions. Evangelical Christianity is just over 200 years old. There was a Fundamentalist movement which took them off onto another tangent. In the 1950s, I believe it was, they came up with the Four Spiritual Laws and those tracts were sent around. People like Billy Graham and the evangelists of that time began to tell people that all they had to do was to pray the sinner’s prayer and they were saved. Doctrines shifted in the Evangelical churches and some new “churches” were born which moved into a “born again movement” in which they emphasized “you must be born again.” Those sects for the most part did not teach living the life but on being “born again” (which pattern by the way may be or may not be good for conversion but it doesn’t get one born again the Bible way).

They cut themselves loose from their roots and those roots have long since shriveled and died and that is what they want.

It was Sunday morning and I jotted it down on a piece of paper which I can’t seem to find now. I recall that it was not an 800 number as most prayer lines are.

I thought twice before calling and my thinking was that these people are spreading false information; they need to know and others need to know and so I called. I was told that they have some people on staff to answer questions but was not given a number to call. I suppose that that can be found on the John Hagee website.
