Just curious, but what do you folks make of some evangelicals, and Muslims, who blast the RCC for creating the current war(s) in the Middle East via the Crusades? How should we as Christians, RC and Prot., deal with these issues?

Pray, for one thing. :gopray2:

Excellent point. Sometimes the best answer is not the most obvious one. What about maybe speaking about giving some iad to the Palestinians who truly need it? I kind of think that if they saw that western countries cared about them as much as they do Israel, maybe they wouldn’t join the side of terrorists.

Quite possibly.

I think it is hilarious that someone would begin to suggest that the persecutation and killing of Christians in the 7th century through this very day by muslims, makes us(catholics) the bad guy?

To defend yourself against the enemy is perfectly justified. Sure, some people calling themselves catholic went too far in their defense of human life, but that is sin nature. I think there are a lot of planks needing to be removed from certain eyes, and the blame needs to stop, along with the religious persecution.

I agree. I hope I did not give you that impression. I am simply suggesting that maybe we could help stem the time of militant Muslims by helping out the ones who truly need it; the ones who could be saved from joining the terrorists just because the feel they have no other way out. One of the common arguements from average Palestinians is that they feel that the West cares more about Israel than they do about the suffering of some Palestinians. I just think that it might be advantageous to listen to them.

Hi TomShaikh,
Guys like Hagee are not representative of all evangelical Christians. He is not orthodox in his Christian theology, even according to protestant theologians. Even for a Bible only person, he strays so far from Holy Scripture, and makes up his own interpretations. So, he could probably be considered sect-like even among Christians.
Peace.

I’m sorry? I am afraid I do not understand what you were saying and asking.
Like Christians divided into 71 sects, Jewish divided into 72 sects and Muslims divided into 73. Are already divided or will be, I donot know.Coz Prophet of Islam said that they will have this much sects oneday. Like in Muslims Shia and Sunni. In Christianity Catholic or Protestant etc etc…Is Evaganlican is one of the group or sect of Christianity.

Than who is he if he is not representative. And Who is the representative than?

I think, personally, that the term Evangelical has been hijacked by men like Hagee. Christians, all of us, are supposed to be evangelical. Unfortunately, people like Hagee and LaHaye have used it to further a cause that is, I think, unBiblical. Like I said earlier, we should spend some time helping the Palestinians who truly want peace out. That might do some good.

Have you ever read anything about his past? It is insane! He says he was told by God to leave his first wife so he could marry his younger secretary! And now, lo and behold, he has a book on marriage! I also find it funny that he always talks about people indulging in their own selfish desires, yet it is obvious that he enjoys indulging in gluttony.

I donot know about his family thinga but i know he is against Islam and muslims people. He propagates alot and i am said that like 25000 or less people say halluiya on his speeches.

i thought the subject was John Hagee…
It still is. The other things that were mentioned point to his hypocrisy as a Prot. leader. I think that has a lot to do with why his Middle East policies are as messed up as they are.

why are you mad or something. are you from his ministry.just kidding. Some time its okay to take site of other religion and all we discuss is not a lie but true.

I don’t know many protestants who take Hagee seriously, which is a good thing, since he is nuts.

Not only is he nuts, but just yesterday, he was quoted in The Metro newspaper as saying the Roman Catholic church is “the whore of Rome”, and that the church is “false” and that the church is in “apostacy” (which means Catholics don’t truly believe in Christ).
What a hateful and angry man.
