According to the OP’s profile, he is Catholic. I just don’t understand what the point of the posting is. It would’ve helped if he had asked a question along with the post, so we could know what it exactly it was he wanted to discuss about the video.

Actually My computer cut out whil I was posting. I was going to ask if MscArthur was actualy quoting Catholic Church teaching or if he is taking it out of context. And I was curious what people think about MacArthurs argument. Thanks. Sorry i was able to finish the post.
 
First, the first point that he presents as false are the words of Jesus. If John MacArthur is right, then Jesus was a liar on the sermon on the mount when he said the pure in heart will see God, not might see God and not see God only if they are blessed with the proper theology. He makes the incorrect assumption that this means that Jesus and the gospel doesn’t matter. Of course it matters. No one will come to the Father except through Him. He also makes another false statement when he says Hindus, Buddhist and Muslims will all go to heaven. That is not what Peter Kreeft of John Paul II said. They said they can, not will. Why? Because Jesus made the promise. Because they never rejected the gospel of Christ.

This is the second time I have heard JM use a small change of words and then prop it up as a syllogism. If he is supposed to be such a great believer in literal exegesis, is he just being sloppy, or is he lying?

I would recommend anyone read Ecumenical Jihad. JM portrays Kreeft as an ecumentical indifferentist. This could not be further from the truth.
