Not sure if any of you are familiar with Puritan/Nonconformist John Owen and his work. It was suggested to me read some of his writings, particularly volume 14 “animadversions on fiat lux” where he basically responds to John Vincent Cane’s treatise for the Church of England to reconcile with RCC. Owen is obviously critical of the RCC and my suggestor was very much swayed by Owen’s arguments. Has anyone read this and had any response to it? It’s available online as a PDF. Be warned the old English is difficult to negotiate.

Thank you. Yes it can be found online; just curious if anyone has read this or any of Owen’s works and any commentar they may have.

I’ve read Mortification of Sin many times. There are very few Protestant books on overcoming sin, and when I was Protestant I found it helpful.
