I know our soon to be Blessed Pontiff was greatly devoted to the Rosary but is there a specific way Polish people say it? I know the manner of the saying the the Holy Rosary varys from country to country.
Thanks for your help

I believe the Germans in the 19th century customarily added “poor” to “pray for us (poor) sinners”, in the angelic salutation. Perhaps this notion translated into Poland?

The Hungarian pray the Rosary w/o the Salve Regina and attached prayer at the end, and they attach the secret as a sentence after the name Jesus in each Ave , like

Jesus, whom you Holy Virgin conceived (10 times for each Ave)
Jesus, whom you Holy Virgin carried visiting Elisebeth
Jesus, who you Holy Virgin born into the world
Jesus, whom you Holy Virgin presented in the Temple
Jesus, whom you Holy Virgin found in the Temple

Jesus, who for us swat His blood
Jesus who for us was flagged
Jesus, who for us was crowned with torns
Jesus, who for us carried the heavy cross
Jesus, who for us was crucified

Jesus, who risen from death
Jesus, who ascended to heaven
Jesus who sent us the Holy Spirit
Jesus, who you Holy Virgin assumed to the heaven
Jesus, who you Holy Virgin crowned in the heaven

Jesus, who was baptized in the Jordan river
Jesus who in Cana revealed His divinity
Jesus, who announced the Kingdom of Hod
Jesus, who revealed His divine glory on the mounth Tabor
Jesus, who gave us Himself in the Eucharist

also for the three Aves after the Creed
Jesus, who increase out faith
Jesus, who stengthen our hope
Jesus, who perfect out love

Pro Vobis: why the Luminous mysteries are missing from the site what you quoted?

My Polish relatives tended to say the Rosary the standard way. And they also tended to do more than 5-15 decades daily. I understand that when Bl. John Paul prayed the rosary in public, he tended to pray up to 25 or 30 decades (and many more in private).

The Poles will say their Rosary as they walked/worked in the old medieval way. People would have bags slung over their shoulders and would finger their beads in them as they went. From this came the saying that this village is “four rosaries” away from that village.

Some of them are there.

Have to watch those copyrights, you know. 🙂

I have a two disk set of the traditional Rosary, (in latin) by JP II. This set was recorded in 1995 at the Vatican. I’m not fond of it so if anyone would like it just PM me with an address and I’ll ship it to you for free.
