I was thinking about enrolling in a confraternity. The problem is, I have no clue where to start. Also, I have always been interested in wearing a cord of a confraternity, but I understand you have to be a member to enjoy the spiritual benefits. How do I go about doing this?

The Confraternity of the Rosary is excellent (if you love the Rosary). I suggest first reading St. Louis De Montfort’s “Secret of the Rosary”. That book helped me a lot towards learning about the Rosary and about the Confraternity.

What you wear on the outside is of very little concern compared to what you are on the inside. It is quite a struggle for me.

I think that authorized Catholic Confraternities are such a wonderful thing. It is a tool whereby the Church gains structure, discipleship and the formation of Christ.
