Mary is wearing a sweater/hoodie that reads roughly as “Nazareth High School”, probably a reference that she was to become a mother at an age we consider only junior high.

Overall though, I’m not fond of these “modernization” of Biblical stories, despite the appeal they may have.

I like it. My only nit is that Joseph looks a little old. And at first I thought his stance was a little lackadaisical/laid back, as in “Whatever . . .” but on closer inspection I see he’s holding a phone to his shoulder.
