Joy Behar ripped the House of Representatives on her program on Monday for their recent defunding of Planned Parenthood.

Behar, focusing on the organization’s birth control services, criticized the move as “illogical…because if you are not going to help people with birth control, you’re going to have more abortions. So, besides being evil and immoral and unethical, they’re also stupid.”

What nice comments. But considering the source, I consider her remarks to be compliments.

Full story (and a not so appealing photograph of Ms. Behar) at the following:

Sarcasm And stunningly, if people abstain, they don’t need birth control, *and *nobody’s going to “need” to kill their baby to make life easier for themselves.
(Of course, it’s difficult to expect people in this day and age to abstain.)

If someone like her thinks you’re doing something wrong, then you must be doing something right.

Pray for this woman instead of calling her names. She is Catholic (whether or not she practices her Faith is irrelevant). Her soul is in jeopardy. She needs our prayers for her reversion to the Truth.

“…lead all souls to heaven, especially those in the greatest need of Thy mercy.”

Was she looking in a mirror when she said that? If she was, she should’ve added " lacking in comedic value".

I agree except I take strong exception to your statement that “whether or not she practises her Faith is irrelevant.” That is very relevant and one of the things we should be praying for. She should be wholeheartedly accepting Church teaching and participating in the Sacraments. All of us should. We should pray that she returns to the flock. It would be to her benefit to do so. And what joy there will be in heaven if that happens!!!

You clearly did not understand my post. Some will say that a person is not Catholic because they don’t practice their Faith. I say that it makes no difference whatsoever, she is still Catholic from Baptism. There is no such thing as “I used to be Catholic”.

How her being a Catholic enters the topic of discussion? Abortion is against natural law and anyone that goes against natural law is endangering his/her soul.

Because many people do not know this.

Obviously.

I am sorry but I am thick and I do not get the message what you are trying to convey. I did not know that she is a Catholic and now that I know it am I supposed to look at her in a different way? I am not criticizing you at all, I just do not get the point.:o

Look at the source of the comment. Why would you expect anything else from this person?

AMEN ! to what The Old Medic just said.
Why on God’s green earth would ANYONE even CARE what Joy Behar has to say about ANYTHING ? The fact that she even gets air time is a sad commentary on what the public considers worthwhile viewing.

I think Lizaanne was simply trying to say we should pray for her, because as a Catholic, Joy should know better. There was no hidden message in Lizaanne’s post. It was a sincere and concerned request to pray for someone who should know better, and therefore whose soul is in jeapordy.

And i share her view, yes - let us pray for Joy and not call her a lot of names instead.

Some might say that. But you mean I think it makes no difference and there’s no such thing in the Church.

OK. Thank you for the clarification. I didn’t understand your post. I apologize.
