I think Joyce Meyer is largely just in it for the money, myself.
Depends on why you are watching her? To learn about doctrine? She is dangerous at times…be careful. I recall she once said:Is it OK for Catholics to read and watch Joyce Meyer?
I would say its bad for protestants to read Joyce Meyer is is no more than a self help guru that has made an excess of 100 million of her books that are barely ChristianIs it OK for Catholics to read and watch Joyce Meyer?
Yes or Donald Calloway or mother Angelica and on and onListen to Fr. Larry Richards talk and you’ll change your mind!
:hug1:
I agree. she has made a lot of money and before I converted I thought she must really be relevant, but there was always something about her that bothered me. fortunately, I converted to Catholicism and now I see that the televangelists all seem like self help gurus who make a lot of money.I would say its bad for protestants to read Joyce Meyer is is no more than a self help guru that has made an excess of 100 million of her books that are barely Christian
But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. 1 Timothy 2:12
Do you think Mother Angelica is a false teacher too?anyone would know that Joyce Meyer is obviously a false teacher if they knew this verse
in other words females are not to be preachersCode:But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. 1 Timothy 2:12
interesting questionm, i am not sure. I wonder if someone else could better explain itDo you think Mother Angelica is a false teacher too?
And the next time someone makes the statement to me that Catholics worship Saints, I will correct them by stating, “We venerate the Saints, sort of like you do with Joyce Meyer, Joel Olsten, Jimmy Swaggart, etc., etc.”
ding, ding, ding we have a winner !!! :clapping::dancing: :extrahappy: :tiphat:I’ll answer this question with one of my own: Why do some Catholics feel compelled to seek wisdom, truth and spiritual guidance from sources OUTSIDE the Catholic Church?
Blind men don’t go to movies and if you want to bake a cake you need the RIGHT ingredients. You don’t go to the hardware store looking for the eggs and butter.
There are literally thousands of good catholic books to read, the Bible being the first among them all!
Support your local catholic Bookstore. if you haven’t got one, find one.

All the lies pitched in God’s name must do something horrid to their souls. Oh well.I was switching the channels last night and there was a Leroy Jenkins who was doing some kind of healing crusade. he seemed to be in love with this power he had. I felt sorry for the people sitting in the audience. he didn’t even have a polished way of speaking.
how can people be taken in by these kind of pastors.
then I noticed joyce meyer was on. she seemed off her game too and the plastic surgery she had on her mouth makes her look almost obscene. it is comical. they had an advertisement for the Holy Land Experience and the Women of the Bible. the man portraying Jesus waltzed on stage surrounded by 4 women smiling and dressed like harem girls!!! it was really sad.
I watch her and have read some of her books. I don’t think she preaches a prosperity gospel but she does have the bucks and spends them. She also seems to be anti-organized religion.Yes I love her!!!
Don’t listen to those who call her a heretic just because she doesnt follow the Catholic faith
She does seem to be uneducated. It’s probably O.K. But come on seriously why would you want to? Talk about a theological minnow! You would get more out of a good psychologist, after all lets be honest. That is all that the content of her message really is Pop Psychology wrapped up in Fundamentalist/ Evangelical conservative & prejudice rhetoric.
Emotionally charged hogwash, I honestly don’t know how those poor gullible people can sit there and be berated by such an unsophisticated charlatan!
I am not sure about her education? However her ignorance is there to see.She does seem to be uneducated.
