Would it be a sin as a catholic to go to a jewish service someday to observe it? Asking because i found out my mothers side is Jewish and so im interested in what my ancestors used to do with worship and tradition wise.

Wow. I’d like to have the opportunity to do such. Hope you find such a service to be illuminating. Just be sure to make your Sunday obligation. 🙂
 
I hope you enjoy visiting. I would like to attend a synagogue and Orthadox service, but have no-one to go with.
 
I was raised Catholic, and my family was devotional, yet we attended countless Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs when I was a child. We have many close friends who are Jewish, and they, also, attended our Communion ceremonies, our Reconciliations ceremonies, and our Confirmation ceremonies. Attendance at synagogue, or church, doesn’t align one necessarily with the beliefs of the procession – one can attend in support of other faithful members, or even out of curiosity about the services themselves. I think it’s useful to a Catholic to understand Judaism – after all, Jesus and his followers were Jewish. Moses, Jacob, Abraham, etc. – were all Jewish. In their example we find a beautiful legacy. 🙂 I get chills listening to the Rabbi recite in Hebrew, just as I get chills attending a Latin Mass!
