Judaism's 613 commandments

=tomarin;11510237]I read with some surprise yesterday that Judaism has 613 commandments (mitzvot). How did we Christians pare them down to 10? What about the other 603? Are we in some trouble here?

God gave humanity TEN Commandments; which by the way ARE categories of sinsl NOT the “list of.”

The others were ADDED as “laws” to the commandments over time. MANY of them had to do with health issues and food. Christ complained that they had gone to extremes, and LOST focus of God, and what God demands.

So we didn’t pare them down; the priest BLEW them up.🙂
