Judas and the Eucharist?

I am a little confused over this. I was thinking about how you are not supposed to recieve the Eucharist in mortal sin. Some people say Judas left early while others say he received the Eucharist, but why would Jesus allow him to recieve the Eucharist? Could Jesus have prevented judas from further sin by not allowing Judas to recieve the Eucharist? Did Judas know he was sinning? Any answers would help thanks

That does help but I still am confused on why Jesus gave the Eucharist to judas and not withhold it from him.

Do we know that Judas partook? I remember a movie in which he took some of the ‘bread’ but didn’t eat It, just put It on his plate. Also, he had not yet betrayed our Lord, only planned to later. I’m sure he had no idea what the ‘bread’ really was. Maybe the other eleven were just as foggy.
