Did Jesus forgive Judas? Did Judas ever write anything or show up in history later?

Since Jesus went on to the crucification while Judas went and hanged himself, there was no time for a reconcilitation on earth. But it is possible that Judas made a perfect act of contrition for both the sins of betrayal and suicide and was forgiven–and the church has never definitely pronounced Judas in hell. The short answer–we do not know. It is possible, though doubtful because as I said, in addition to the betrayal there was the suicide which was an act of despair and presumption that his betrayal was unforgiveable–and that, if held to, is a sin against the Holy Spirit.

No, Judas neither wrote anything nor showed up in history later. (We are talking Judas Iscariat here). There was another apostle more often known as Jude–different fellow.

It bears pointing out that Judas’ most egregious sin was not seeking reconciliation. Instead of humbling himself, bearing the shame of what he had done, and approaching the Apostles to reconcile himself to Christ and the Church, he killed himself.

The closest thing we have is in Matt 27:
1Early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people came to the decision to put Jesus to death. 2They bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate, the governor.

3When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders. 4"I have sinned," he said, "for I have betrayed innocent blood."
“What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”
5So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

Judas never wrote anything and certainly not the Gospel of Judas that was peddled on National Geographic.

I wish I had scripture handy right now, but didn’t Jesus say that it would be better for this person never to have been born?

Sounds, although does not say in Exact Words, that the soul of Judas did not go UpWard to heaven with an eternally long stopover in Purgatory.

Oh, one more point I forgot to mention.

When Judas threw the money back and said “I have sinned against innocent blood”, his connfession was not made to God, but to the very same men who planned the death of our Lord.
