An update on Abby Johnson, the Planned Parenthood director who quit after watching an abortion on an ultrasound. PP filed for an injunction against Abby that would stop her from releasing details involving her eight years at the clinic after she quit and joined the Coalition for Life, an anti-abortion group in Bryan, TX. In a hearing today, the judge denied PP’s request. Read the story here:

That is a bad decision. All it’s going to take is one nut to show up at an employee’s house and kill someone because they got the address or harass someone who does nothing more than deliver medical supplies because they got the suppliers name from Abby or any number of similar possibilities.

Do you have any evidnce that she intended to do this? The restraining order was to keep her from talking about why she quit.
 
*Is a restraining order in this sense, the same as a gag order? I have never heard of this type of thing being referred to as a restraining order?

So, if PP is …helping women…as they’d like for the public to believe they do…what are they so worried about her telling about the ‘goings on’ there? :ehh:*

Planned Parenthood had what was referred to as a temporary restraining order against Abby that prevented her talking openly about her time at Planned Parenthood and the circumstances surrounding her departure. This ‘restraining order’ was set to automatically dissolve tomorrow night (Wednesday) at midnight if no action was taken, which is why PP filed for this injunction to make this order permanent and the hearing was held today. The judge denied PP’s motion and Abby is now allowed to speak more freely about her time at Planned Parenthood and the details surrounding her departure. This does not mean Abby can release sensitive patient information or anything like that, but she can be more open about her reasons for leaving.

Do you have any proof?

If you have no proof that she intended/intends to release personal information, that is a large leap of logic.

The restraining order PP wanted was so that Abby wouldn’t discuss her reasons for leaving or PP’s abortion-pushing agenda. Abby is still bound by federal law (HIPAA, specifically) to not release patient information. And she would be foolish (and possibly breaking law) to release personal information of staff members without permission.

She is still bound by privacy laws. That was never the problem. PP wanted more - they wanted her to be muzzled and unable to tell the truth. People who work in darkness fear the light of truth because it exposes their deeds. It has always been so: “And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.” John 3:19-21, NAB

We must pray for this brave woman as she shines the light of truth on the darkness of the culture of death. :crossrc:
 
The issue the judge was asked to decide was, based on the evidence presented, did this lady’s ability to relate facts known to her as a PP Director constitute eminent danger to people or to the business itself. PP presented their case and the judge felt it wasn’t enough.

Not at issue is what actions some other person (nutcase) might take IF she happened to reveal sensitive details. If she reveals patient information without authorization, she’d be in violation of federal law, which is not the matter of substance in this restraining order.
 
Because of the prayers and efforts of so many brave PRO-LIFE soldiers who fight for life in the trenches every day (Happy Veterans Day!), we are winning some battles.

The war is far from over!!!

We must continue to fight the battle harder than ever to defend the lives of the innocent from those who would murder innocent babies for $$$$$ (PC=“perform abortions” ).
