I compared them to pigs due to their sitting around and doing nothing but birthing.
Oh:p

well that makes it alright

“I compared blacks to animals because they are so violent”

Horrid, biggoted statement, just like yours.
You compare them to the Hispanics in the USA. Well, it sounds you are as bigoted as you claim I am. There are many illegals other than Hispanics.
How in the world did you get there?

I made the comparison to Hispanics because that is the largest wave of migration into the US at the moment, while Muslims are the larger into Europe with the supply of Eastern European workers drying up.
And the muslims are doing here what they do in Europe - bringing polygamy, sharia law, their demands and their violence. We just don’t cowardly ignore it and let them get away with it like the Europeans do.
Like talking to a Klansman.

let me make this obvious

(x)(Mx—>Bx)=/=(Ex)(Mx&BX)
Don’t read the books - then don’t tell me how superior your knowledge is to the facts.
When did I say my knoledge was suprior?

I’m curently reading “Global and Political Islam”
I also keep updated to what is up via jihadwatch.org and some other websites that are reputable. I am sure the fuzz up your butt makes you comfortable because for the life of me I don’t know why you are so arrogant and fly off at the mention that the muslims are indeed stating they want to establish sharia law in our lands.
I fly off the handle because I’m sick of innocent Muslims haveing to live with fear, feeling like second class citizins etc.

I don’t care what you say about Islam, I am, however, not going to tolerate biggoted, ignorant statments about individual Muslims.

You say I fly off the handle, how? I’m annoyed we are off topic, I want to stick to a strict, logical, fact based discussion of modern Muslim nations.
Listen to them, not to me - or your own lack of capacity to understand that this is their agenda.
Muslim’s stated goal to take us over by 2050
<a href="http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/018733.php"target=new>Islamic State of North America no later than 2050
can’t access the link
For an A+ student you need to get a spell checker. Anyway, if you are not a muslim then it is even worse - you are chosing ignorance and chose to defend the indefensible and intolerant. They want you just as #1. dead, #2. converted, or #3. subjugated. This is a muslim’s only option for infidels once they establish sharia law in the land. This is their stated goals - not mine.
I am a horrid speller, I know that, what I don’t know is what is so hard for you to understand about the distinction between something the religious texts of a religion may dictate and the actions and beleifs on an individual Muslims.

Legitimate Argument-the common and traditional understanding of X verse in the Qua’ran dictates X

Supid Biggotry-ALL THE MUSLIMS WANTS TO EXPLODE ME LOL!

I do not see why youy refuse to make this distinction.

Legitimate Argument-Christian scripture and tradition allows for corporal or other physical punnishment to deter heresy.

Stupid Biggotry-THE EVUL CHRISTIAN WANTS TO BURN YOU AT A BIG PEACE OF WOOD/STAKE OH NO!
Maybe reading a book on war tactics - besides the koran - might wake you up. Sun Tsu’s ‘The Art of War’ is a good book. Then you might be able to understand the koran and hadiths as being a book of tactics against the infidels.
I read many military books 14-16 years old and spent every day hanging out with a retired major and first sergent for four years.

It wasen’t meant to impress you, it was to point to the odd absence of any record of this mystery war

REAL!?

There’s one of those Godless savages:mad:

I’m tell you a super squirl secret

http://mine.icanhascheezburger.com/view.aspx?ciid=693984

Just because a two forces attack, and the attackers have the same religion, dosen’t actually mean they are in cahoots>.>

For example, simply because during the plague Christians rioted and attacked Jews beleiving them had poisoned the wells, and then centuries later German made of mainly Christians waged war on Europe and slaughtered Jews, Slaves, Homosexuals, etc dosen’t mean they were acting as a cohesive unit or wageing war aghinst Jews

It’s just those darn liberal, gay hugging, Muslim loveing liberals who brainwash us to beleive otherwise:thumbsup:

🤷

No, no it’s not.

By making nonsense comments you are making yourself look like the nonsensical one - not the poster you are responding to. You think you are the all intelligent one when in fact the original poster has valid points.

This is just tactics to try to invalidate remarks by others who disagree with muslims about islam - it is indeed a violent ‘religion’ based on the violence of its ‘prophet’, and its 1400 years of almost non-stop violence and still counting.

By making nonsense comments you are making yourself look like the nonsensical one - not the poster you are responding to.
I wasen’t trying to make him look rediculious exactly as highlighting how absurd this debate is getting.
I’m not very smart, I DO have the sense to know how blatently silly his argument it.

It had nothing to do with my scores, I was pointing out how odd it was that no mention of this war could be found
Actually, I am on your side with this. He was lumping a lot of other things into a “war”.
They are not living like it is 1400, they are living in more primitive conditions, the region was controlled by colonial powers, has had numerous proxy governments set up, etc yet you want to make it seem like people in the region want to be living in 50% poverty and no upward mobility.
My argument is not an economic one. They tolorate no dissent in thought. That is my whole issue. Must one be wealty to tolorate other ideas?
Look at pools in the Region, desire for economic movement is HGE on goals, people want progress.
Progress but not ideas. NO one seems to want Catholics living next door and worshiping in their own Church.
Syria has Churchs, I’m under the impression that Pakistan has a secular government backed by the military, Saudi Arabia is an atrocity, I can’t say for Iran, I would think not.
Ok
That’s my point, you can’t point to one variable and say, “ah, that’s it” There are numerous factors, you can’t ignore colonialism and just point to Islam, Islam CAN be a retardant, as can about any religion.
True, but how long is a single retardant seen before anyone admits that it is an issue that must be considered?
Sectarian violence did not erupt immediatly, look at Yougoslavia, Tito did a lot, but even before him various ethnicities managed to work, and even intermarry amongst each other, there is nothing intrinsic to being Serbian, or Croatian, or Bosnian etc, that causes violence, however sectarian division can be exaserbated by events
Yes. But does it not seem like there is a lot of secterian violence in a religion that calls itself a religion of peace and acceptance?
I have been accused of being Muslim(how, may I ask, in a liberal representative democracy, can one be accused of being a religion?), I see no point in arguing it, If I say I’m not I will be accused of being a liar to spead Islam or some other non-sense.
The people who called you one see Islam as a political position, like being a communist or a republican. Honestly, who cares what anyone thinks of you, as long as you can live with yourself and God.

Actually, I am on your side with this. He was lumping a lot of other things into a “war”.
Alright, well any point of agreament between two arguing sides is always good
My argument is not an economic one. They tolorate no dissent in thought. That is my whole issue. Must one be wealty to tolorate other ideas?
Well, that’s a bit complicated, certianly there is no causal role between walth and liberal ideals(btw, generally, when I refer to liberal/liberalism etc I mean more classical liberalism, secular thought etc than strictly the liberal party), however it cannot be ignored. As regions become more prosperous and wealthy greater emphasis can be placed on education, liberal arts etc, certianly we see this in Western History, think of how radically different the West became as people became more affulent and better educated.

Now, as you or someone else may well point out many major terrorist figures were or are wealthy, this is certianly true, however in this instance I am more refering to their popular base of support, I linked a YouTube video on of a Forensic Scientist and Medical Doctor who was employed by the CIA, he did a very interesting emperical study on “far enemy” terrorism, and has discussed the different “generations” of terrorists, it is very telling
Progress but not ideas. NO one seems to want Catholics living next door and worshiping in their own Church.
Well, as I said before I think that this will come with greater economic prosperity and people feeling like they have hope in this world, certianly medeval Christians didn’t decide they wanted to become a more tolerant, liberal, secular socioty, it came as a by product of economic and social development.

But I think we have a basis of agreament, there are major and serious problems in the Middle East, our main differences are

a)What are their main causes

b)How are they best resolved
True, but how long is a single retardant seen before anyone admits that it is an issue that must be considered?
Well, that seems to suppose that Islam is a retardant in itself, which I would disagrea with. Christianity was a retardant on some areas of acadamic progress for a long time, this is nothing innate to Christianity, just a result of how Chrostainity was viewed and used by the authorities for a given period.

Islam acts as a retardant when it is used to stiffle free thought and intelectual progress, this can be true of any religion, and has been true of other religions in the past, now perhapse certian views of Islam can have a greater or lesser impact, like Fundamentalist Christianity is much more likely to hinder progress than Roman Catholicism or Anglicanism, however this are reflections of how the individual views the world and their place in it via their religions, there is nothing intrinsic to Islam that makes it a retardant, it becomes one when used by authorities like Saudi Princes to hinder change and growth, I am not a Muslim and so reject that idea that Islam has some intrinsic nature, it exists(if such vocabulary as that is appropiate) only in the minds of it’s adherants, and is subject to the individuals understanding, it is because of this I say ISlam is not in itself a retardant on progress
Yes. But does it not seem like there is a lot of secterian violence in a religion that calls itself a religion of peace and acceptance?
Well, I would again point to the thirty years war, someone can look at it and say, “a lot of bloodshed for a “peaceful” religion” yet closer examination shows this, while fueled by religion, to have been primairly driven by political interests and human motivations, I would say the same is true for Iraq, Sunni and Shia can get along just fine, I know plenty of Sunni Muslims who say of course Shia are their brother’s and sisters in Islam, however whenever you have a situation of a country that suddenly has a power vacume, a large number of disgrunteled citizens, and a history of one group holding power, and a force actively trying to spark off violence I think you are asking for trouble, I don’t see anything intrinsic that could not occur between any religious groups/ethnicitis or what have you
The people who called you one see Islam as a political position, like being a communist or a republican. Honestly, who cares what anyone thinks of you, as long as you can live with yourself and God.
I don’t really care, he brought up the questions again(though not in a hostile sense), and I was trying to adress it, I am not a Muslim nor have I ever been, but I’m not going to spend my time arguing over it as that seems like an unwiniable argument

Ivan,
Nothing personal, but you sound so much like a Marxist criminal Justice professor that I had so many years ago. I do see economics as a major issue in the middle east and rest of the world. However, I have little faith in saying that if they had more of their needs met, the religious violence would end. They might have a harder time recruiting assistance, but they would still hate those who do not worship as they do.

Now, education is another story. If some of these countries like Saudi Arabia would allow for different views to be expressed openly, that might help with the violence.

Earlier, we breifly touched on the Civil Rights MOvement in America. As a native of Birmingham, Alabama, I probably have more personal knowledge of it than others my age. There are two key things that occured that shifted the population from one side to the other. First, the whites could see that blacks had the same wants, desires, dreams, and goals as they did, and that they were not dissimalar to them. Second, the bombing of the 16th street Baptist Church, killing four school age girls, coupled with the police handling of it. Many indifferent Southerners suddenly went to the side of the minorities after that. Many who were opposed to the movement did as well. I have toured that facility several times as well as the Civil Rights Museum. If you ever make it here, you should, too.

Anyway, let us look at the Muslims like this. First, do Muslim Fundamentalists see us as worshiping the same God and as people with similar goals and ideals? Second, has the Muslim world seen the destruction from Islamic terrorists against the west and been sickened by it to the point of turning against it? I would say no to both.

Ivan,

no offense taken
I do see economics as a major issue in the middle east and rest of the world. However, I have little faith in saying that if they had more of their needs met, the religious violence would end.

I’m not saying that if you gave everyone $500 they’d start waveing American flags, it’s not just needs, it’s haveing a sense of something here on earth to live for.
They might have a harder time recruiting assistance, but they would still hate those who do not worship as they do.

Some would, we have many people like that here, however they are margenalized and impotent.
Now, education is another story. If some of these countries like Saudi Arabia would allow for different views to be expressed openly, that might help with the violence.
Like it or not, economic advancement is strictly tied with education, name one impoverished nation that has a good, public education system, from greater prosperity comes better education, and with better education comes more open and free exchange of ideas, look at Western Europe, the US it’s a clear line.

I forget, what is this in reguards to?
Anyway, let us look at the Muslims like this. First, do Muslim Fundamentalists see us as worshiping the same God and as people with similar goals and ideals?
I don’t see why this matters, look at a good deal of people here, do some of the posters here who I quoted in my thread see Muslims worshiping the same God, with simmilar goals and dreams?

A large chunk does not see Muslims in such a light, however a majority of the population does, we will never eleminate fundamentalism, nor do we need to.
Second, has the Muslim world seen the destruction from Islamic terrorists against the west and been sickened by it to the point of turning against it? I would say no to both.
There is a spit, a majority seem to say attacks are justified, when pointed to specific instances they are turned away.

If you are watching Al Jazera show American troops dragging Iraqis away and Israelies 25/7 you will find it difficult to look at them as human beings, on the other hand, if you have a computer with free internet acess, things change.

I’m not saying that if you gave everyone $500 they’d start waveing American flags, it’s not just needs, it’s haveing a sense of something here on earth to live for.
Money is not the same as wealth. People have to have thier basic needs met. Look at the difference between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. In Saudi, one small group gets money from the oil. IN Kuwait, all citizens get the money. Why do we hear about Saudi terrorists and not Kuwaiti?
Some would, we have many people like that here, however they are margenalized and impotent.
I think, based on the mimited research that I have done, that it will be harder to marginalize radical Islamic groups than it was here. It just seems like many, many Muslims either do not care or support them with their silence.
Like it or not, economic advancement is strictly tied with education, name one impoverished nation that has a good, public education system, from greater prosperity comes better education, and with better education comes more open and free exchange of ideas, look at Western Europe, the US it’s a clear line.
I agree, but Islam does not allow one to criticize Islam itself. That is a problem. Many of these countries that have the issues with freedom are run by people that enforce this as national law.
I forget, what is this in reguards to?
About the change in attitude in the South concerning integration and civil rights. How the governments here looked the other way when whites were attacking blacks.
I don’t see why this matters, look at a good deal of people here, do some of the posters here who I quoted in my thread see Muslims worshiping the same God, with simmilar goals and dreams?

Flip the question, and you reach my point. Do a majority of Muslims think that we are like them? I do not think so. The Koran teaches that the Bible is corrupted, that the Trinity is The Father, Son, and Mary. Why should they think that we worship the same God when they are taught that we are so wrong? I cannot find the link to a Answering Christianity website that has all kinds of stuff, taught by Muslims, against Christian and Jews. When I find it, I will link to it. It has been posted on here before. Many of their vile claims are not based on the Bible or Christian teachings, but the Koran and the Hadiths.

No, we cannot rid ourselves of fundamentalism, in any faith. What we can do is try to reach a place where we can live together. My question about this is how many non-fudamentalist Muslims care if the bad ones attack us?
There is a spit, a majority seem to say attacks are justified, when pointed to specific instances they are turned away.
If you say that you support me, then do not come to my aid, you have lied to me. Pakestan will not allow us to enter their country to search for bin Ladin. Saudi Arabia will not root out the factions in their country. Some American Muslims still give money to terrorist supporting groups.
If you are watching Al Jazera show American troops dragging Iraqis away and Israelies 25/7 you will find it difficult to look at them as human beings, on the other hand, if you have a computer with free internet acess, things change.
My friend, you are exactly right. Why do we not start a channel to counter it? I bet that we would not be allowed to.

Try reading - it might improve your brain power.

Europe has a very, big problem and to stick your head in the sand does nothing to improve the situation and actually helps it worsen by making sure you stay ignorant.

On a daily basis I read jihadwatch.org, frontpagemag.com and some other websites - and take a look at the archives for what is happeningin Europe. There is a lot of violence instigated by muslims. The Europeans are actually afraid to go into some areas that muslims reside due to this violence so basically the muslims are getting away with their crud and it only emboldens them to keep on behaving poorly.

Here are some good books,
A Never Ending War
While Europe Slept
Menace in Europe
Eurasia

and there are so many others, but these are a start.

Here’s the thing, when someone tells me that the earth is 6,000 years old, and evolution is a lie I’m really not inclined to read Science texts on their suggustion.

Now, I’m reading on Muslim political movements at the moment, and a number of other books, so I’m not reading your books now, and to be honest untill you can give me some reasone to assuming credability to your paranoia, I woulden’t be likely to read your books even if I had the time.

If you want to present your case here that’s fine and I’ll respond to it, if you want to like the battles of Mohammed with the battles of the Ottoman as one continuous war, claim Muslims are flooding Europe in some mass conspiricy to conquest, or any other unsubstantiated sensationalist non sense, then I’m really not interested.

I think, based on the mimited research that I have done, that it will be harder to marginalize radical Islamic groups than it was here. It just seems like many, many Muslims either do not care or support them with their silence.
Well, sure, it would be harder in Saudi Arabia, one you have a historically secular nation vs a historically monarchiacal and theocratic.

We have to get to Muslim teens before the fundamentalists do.

Do you know where Bin Laden first started to turn to violent fundamentalism?

His after school soccer coach.

What is it that does not allow itself to be criticised?

Islam dosen’t “exist”, it dosen’t exist indipendent of Muslims and is subject to their interpretation, it wasen’t that long ago that the Church had an index of prohibited texts, Darwins books were on there, do you think no Catholic Biologist ever read Darwin before the index was abolished?
About the change in attitude in the South concerning integration and civil rights. How the governments here looked the other way when whites were attacking blacks.
alright

I don’t have any quantative figures, all Muslim I know are non-fundamentalist, and none support killing innocent people, now in Pakistan I beleive, one of their most prominate fundamentalist preachers told his people that it was the duty of all good Muslims to denounce Bin Laden and support the US for what happened to our innocent people, my point is that even fundamentalists can not all be lumped in one bag, he denounced Bin Laden others praise him
If you say that you support me, then do not come to my aid, you have lied to me. Pakestan will not allow us to enter their country to search for bin Ladin. Saudi Arabia will not root out the factions in their country. Some American Muslims still give money to terrorist supporting groups.
They don’t support the US, they just said the murder of innocents on 9/11 was wrong.
My friend, you are exactly right. Why do we not start a channel to counter it? I bet that we would not be allowed to.
Depends on the country

Alright, well, there is fundamentalism in Kuwait, but we seem to be in agreament here. Was this meant to be contradicting something I was claiming?
I think that I was clarifying and elaborating, at least in my own mind.
Well, sure, it would be harder in Saudi Arabia, one you have a historically secular nation vs a historically monarchiacal and theocratic.
We have to get to Muslim teens before the fundamentalists do.
Do you know where Bin Laden first started to turn to violent fundamentalism?

Agreed to all.
What is it that does not allow itself to be criticised?
It is either in the Koran or the Hadiths. Think about the logic. What is the proof that Muhammid was sent by God? The Koran. What is the Proof for the Koran? Muhammid had it, and he was sent by God. When you question it, you are told that the Koran says it to be so.
Isn’t that true of any ideology?
Well, you beleive the Muslims are drastically wrong don’t you?
Yes, but if you try to discuss it, they are automatically blinded because of an error in the Koran.
well if you find it I’ll look at it
Here it is. THere are some disturbing things said on it. I know that it is one person’s (or a group’s) site, but how many agree with this or consider the information correct? I found the site the first time because of moderate Muslim posters ON THIS SITE.
I don’t have any quantative figures, all Muslim I know are non-fundamentalist, and none support killing innocent people, now in Pakistan I beleive, one of their most prominate fundamentalist preachers told his people that it was the duty of all good Muslims to denounce Bin Laden and support the US for what happened to our innocent people, my point is that even fundamentalists can not all be lumped in one bag, he denounced Bin Laden others praise him
Same here, but according to many, the US has a disproportionate number of educated Muslims compaired to other western nations. I know that not all Muslims support it. A majority do not. I just cannot beleive that only 10% do or the other 90% would do more to stop terrorist attacks.
They don’t support the US, they just said the murder of innocents on 9/11 was wrong.
I wonder what percentage think that we did it to ourselves or that Israel did it to us and blaimed them. Some of the Muslim meadia promote that
Depends on the country
Does it? When the death threats start, it would not matter.

Now, I’m reading on Muslim political movements at the moment, and a number of other books, so I’m not reading your books now, and to be honest untill you can give me some reasone to assuming credability to your paranoia, I woulden’t be likely to read your books even if I had the time.

If your books on the muslim political movement is a correct book - you are reading the koran and hadiths then. That is their politics. The laws are called sharia law.

As for paranoia - then read their freaking history. Listen to their words. Look and read about the violence they perpetrate. Look at the countries that used to thrive and now are nothing but muslim pig stys of violence (Lebanon is one example). It took the muslims 15 years to destroy that country - but it is a relatively small country.

They are now working on Eastern Europe, and Western Europe. They are becoming cesspools of violence - well, Eastern Europe already is a cesspool of violence. They have even tried to do their crud in China this week, but it seems the Chinese won’t stand for it.

The muslims are unable to live with others so demand their own land in Eastern Europe, the Philippines, and now they are after parts of India - again and we all know their wanting all of Israel - they won’t be happy until they drive the Israelis into the ocean. While all of the Middle East used to be inhabited by Jews, and Christians and others of other religions - until mohammed came along and started his ‘religion’ which is more of a political movement that uses religion as a front.

Then he, and his followers, started systematically slaughtering the others and when he figured out it would be ok to keep some as subjugated peoples so they could pay high taxes and do work that they didn’t want to do - they allowed the others to live. But, we have seen in the 20th century that they went from double digit percentages to single digit percentages living in muslim lands.

So, wake up and start reading. Oh, and I mean reading something other than what the muslims want you to read. Then you might see what islam is all about - death, destruction and chaos.
