As a grown up Catholic, I believe always that we show reverence to Jesus,in June who came to save us,and to GOD the Father who sent Jesus,so we could be saved. God LOVES us,and we as Catholics, should never forget that, but theirs some people that go on with their daily things ,instead of Thanking Jesus and his Father for another day,to be with the ones we LOVE,are lives are in the hand,s of GOD,who gave us lifecount every minute as a Blessing… GOD is LIFE, Amen :bible1:

I always thought we show reverence to Jesus everyday, every month.

im all for June for Jesus

but like the other post - Jesus is the reason for , well everything - I pray to Jesus everyday, and meditate on his life when I pray the rosary everyday

I tell Jesus I love him every night before I got to bed
  • so im not sure what more extra I should do in the month of June -
maybe an extra Fatima prayer 😃

O my Jesus
Forgive us our sins,
save us from the fires of Hell
lead all souls to Heaven
especially those most in need of thy mercy.
AMEN

Amen 👍

I agree. How do you know that these people are not thanking Christ everyday? They may be silently thanking him on the train on their way home or on their knees beside their bed when we cannot see them.

Peace 🙂

Thanks for the reminder JB. My calendar has a beautiful image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for June and I feel very blessed that my birthday falls in the same month because it’s my favorite devotion to Our Lord.

Even though people will say “but I love Our Lord every day,” there are people the world over (including myself) who love to dedicated different times of the year to God in different ways, to help keep the Faith fresh and alive in our hearts. Don’t let your great piety be a stumbling block to those of us who are weaker.

Isn’t June dedicated to the Sacred Heart? Or was that August?

From the Catholic Source Book by Rev. Peter Klein, here is a traditional dedication of the months of the year:

January: Holy Childhood
February: Holy Family
March: St. Joseph
April: Holy Spirit/Holy Eucharist
May: The Blessed Virgin Mary
June: Most Sacred Heart of Jesus
July: Most Precious Blood of Jesus
August: Blessed Sacrament
September: Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary
October: The Most Holy Rosary
November: The Holy Souls in Purgatory
December: Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary

I find this incredibly amazing. Each month has a special dedication to one of the great truths of our Faith. Awesome!!

Amen 👍
