No. As far as I know, all that is required is that you make a reasonable effort to examine yourself and try to remember in whay ways you may have sinned.
I believe that some people advise a brief daily examination of conscience (usually as part of your evening prayers), which can make things easier when you prepare for confession. It is also easier if you’re in the habit of confessing regularly. The shorter the time-period you’re trying to cover, the easier it is to remember anything that needs confessing.
