hey this hasent happened too em but ive been wondering, i’ve read storyies about satan can take the form of the Blessed Mother, Jesus, angels etc. and he can decieve you and is very crafty, how can one tell if its satan or not?

I’d suppose Satan would “reveal” or instruct the person he is deceiving to “know” or do something not in line with Catholic Doctrine or Dogma.

If the person sees right away it might be Satan, the St Michael prayer and 3 Aves would certainly make Satan leave their presence.

All Catholics should wear a blessed St Benedict medal and/or a Crucifix at all times for protection imo.

what about a blessed rosary cause i don’t have a crucifix necklace

It is possible that “the seer” may not be able to discern whether something is from God or from the devil. Every “vision” should be submitted to the person’s priest/pastor for discernment.

Easy. You ask whatever is appearing whether it bows down to the eternal Living God, He that sent His only begotten Son to die for Man’s sins so that Man may be saved. If it says no, it is evil.

That is the way you “test the spirits”, as Paul remarks in several of his letters.

The Holy Spirit is peace, warmth, joy, and always speaks of Jesus. JESUS IS LORD.

From the Teachings of

St. Seraphim of Sarov

About God

God is fire, warming and igniting the heart and inward parts. So, if we feel coldness in our hearts, which is from the devil (for the devil is cold), then let us call the Lord: He, in coming, will warm our heart with perfect love, not only towards Himself, but to our neighbors as well. And the coldness of the despiser of good will run from the face of His warmth.

Where there is God, there is no evil. Everything coming from God is peaceful, healthy and leads a person to the judgment of his own imperfections and humility.

God shows us His love for man not only in those instances when we do good, but also when we affront Him with our sins and anger Him. With what longsuffering he bears our lawlessness! “Do not call God a rightful Judge,” says St. Isaac, “for His rightful judgment is not seen in your deeds. True, David called Him a righteous judge and rightly, but the Son of God has shown us that God is good and merciful even more. Where is His righteous judgment? We were sinners, but Christ died for us” (St. Isaac the Syrian, Word 90).

I have heard, or read, but, cannot verify is what I’m saying, that when Satan appears as Jesus, he appears glorified and perfect, that is to say, he does not bear the Stigmata BECAUSE he wants to appear just as beautiful as he thinks himself to be; he doesn’t want to be disfigured in any way, that is beneath him.

I’ve heard that angels will come to tell you that something from heaven is going to visit.

Have you watched the film about Bernadette at Lourdes and the Fatima story. The children appear to have had no inkling of the apparitions until they happened.

It is a wonderous thing to occur but it is fraught with tribulations…disbelief, envy, hatred, mockery and endless investigation.

I wear a scapular and also armed with my rosary for spiritual combat.

There are ways, and the CC has gained such knowledge over the years, canonizing saints, apparations, and through exorcisms.

One is obedience, that is, if the apparition will tell you to disobey a priest mentor/spiritual director, bishop or the Church, then it is not divine.

From reading some work of some exorcists, say the words “My Lord and My God”-these are words said during the mass at consecration, the apparition must be able to repeat these, otherwise, Satan will not say these words. Also, the Miraculous Medal is effective in countering the devil.

And yes, the rosary. Among created beings, the BVM is feared the most by Satan.

And the most powerful intercessor of all?

“Of course, the Madonna is even more effective. Ah, when you invoke Mary!”

“And, once I also asked Satan, ‘but why are you more scared when I invoke Our Lady than when I invoke Jesus Christ?’ He answered me, ‘Because I am more humiliated to be defeated by a human creature than being defeated by him.”

The intercession of the living is also important, though, says Fr. Amorth. He reminds people that exorcism is a prayer and, as such, Christians can pray to liberate a soul or place from the Devil. However, three things are needed.

In this way as direct appearance unlikly. He has no body, and cannot create body.

He operates through the pride of the people. Let people believe that they are better than others, they know the TRUTH, and thus make people either induce hallucinations, visions for themselves, or lie about them.

The only thing what helps is the humility and obedience to the Magisterium.
