Thank you for your explanation. When I went to the Just Faith website and newsletter, I immediately discerned that the planet was of utmost importance and that the sovereignty of the United States as a nation was to be done away with. The late summer newsletter of '09 was full of how to break the law in bringing illegals across the border of the U.S., leaving water out for them to drink, having safe houses for the illegals and basically to ignore the proper procedures to enter the U.S.

Now, we are to give water to those who are thirsty, to feed the poor, to clothe the naked - but we are not to break the law in doing these things. We are to give because God in His Infinite wisdom created all of us and we are to show compassion and dignity to others, not in breaking of any laws, but in the upholding of laws.

My concern is that this program is not Christ centered but man as god centered.

Here is another web site you might find interesting, though I am somewhat broaching the rule not to discuss politics, it does have a bearing on how religion and political activism are being so mixed up; it can be difficult to discern exactly what you are getting into these days (or asked to give assent to).

[[734 pages]]("Excerpts from The Keys of this Blood, a critical warning by Malachi Martin - 1990 [734 pages)

I have not read Malachi Martin’s works (yet), but have it from a reliable source that his writings are okay to read, that they don’t contradict Catholic teaching.

Earnest Bunbury wrote, in part:
In the end, my experience with Just Faith is that it ignores sin, repentance, holiness, grace, etc for a political activism that wants to make the world better by reforming the world, not the person. The person is more important, as mankind was not created in the Image of God, man himself was. It is not compatible with Catholicism and leads those who desire to be in union with God away from this union, perhaps irrevocably, perhaps not. Those who are only “lukewarm” Catholics will not be made anything other than more lukewarm.
This seems to me to be the result of Hegelian/Marxist goals; a bloodless coup. Get people to focus on feelings instead of the Truth; desire liturgies that cater to people’s wants instead of our spiritual needs, mix it up with a good dose of modern psychology, and voila! We are “sheeple” ripe for buying into more govt. control (all in the name of “social justice”, of course).

And thank you for some detailed insights, Earnest B.

Thank you Mimi and Earnest, both. I have copied your latest post, Mimi, in case it disappears… God Bless and Happy Epiphany!
