Just for Fun - Do any Non-Catholics find themselves listening to Catholic radio?

We’ve recently moved to Catholic rich area of the country. There is a Catholic television station and yesterday I discovered the Catholic radio station. It was station over from my usual channel. So far I’ve heard a very charismatic priest who said he has been in broadcasting for 10 years and at night there was some call-in Q&A session. Although I can’t watch the TV station, I actually look forward to rinding to and fro listening to the radio (and I actually continued to listen to the radio even though I had pulled into our driveway).

I am wondering if any non-Catholics find themselves listening to Catholic radio or watching Catholic television.

I did too for years as a non-Catholic. Then I listened to Fr. Corapi, and the rest is history!

It was through KBVM that I first heard of CAF…about 5-6 years ago. I’d make sure I planned my trip home at the time CAL was on the air…I think at 5:00…I haven’t listened to it now for several years as I tend to work late.

I don’t know if I “count” since I’m in RCIA, but yes, I listen to Sacred Heart Radio (Cincinnati) all the time.

I occassionaly listen to Fr. Tom De Lorenzo on a Boston radio station. There are two Christian staions in Boston, both part of Salem Brodcasting. They each carry him, one for 30 minutes a day, the other for 15 minutes a day. I must admit, though, that most of my radio listening is to the local Christian Satelite Network station which carries no Catholic programing that I’m aware of, and to the local K-LOVE station for music.

I used to listen to EWTN on Sirius. I now have XM, and I am not as fond of theCatholic Channel. Wishh XM would carry EWTN.

If you ever get a chance to listen to Al Kresta’s show (I don’t know how far and wide it’s broadcasted), he has some fascinating theological discussions. Al, I believe, used to be a protestant minister prior to his conversion, so I think he brings a unique perspective to theological discussion on the air.

Although I am somewhat too protestant at times, I do find parts of the Catholic faith to be spot on. With that said, the Catholic radio hits some nice chords (and it seems it has only hit a bad chord with me once). But I can smile and still give it a big .
