I try to mix it up when I feel like I’m having the same conversations over and over again. Sometimes I’ll hang out in the Apologetics forum for a while. Then I’ll move over to Popular Media or Family Life. Then to Traditional Catholicism and/or Liturgy and Sacraments. When I’m feeling really quite brazen, I’ll try the Politics forum. 🙂

Must admit to also getting burnt out. I am finding the start of baseball season being much more interesting. Of course that can’t be because this year I have four fantasy baseball teams all named PIANOS.

I tried “Social Issues” once and it was very interesting but most of it was head-banging. (nothing like here… lol) :banghead:

Hallelujah, I’m not the only one that things like this. I think we would make a motion for CAF to create a thread for banned posters.😃

This would have been a much more fun poll if it wasn’t public. 😦
Uhm…polls are as private as elections. 😉 For instance, you don’t know which selection I clicked on until I tell you, right?

…as for me, having read all the choices, and realizing that I have done every single one of them but one (and am now considering that one) I realize that I am officially past forum burn out and am solidly into masochism.

You bet!

And a thread for those of us who can`t control ourselves, but insist on giving evil people and evil organizations insulting (NOT OFFENSIVE!) names. How many warnings does one get?

Dirty work at the crossroads with the percentages.
What`s with the X 2.444 (ad infinitum)?

You haven’t converted to another faith, have you?

Well, erm…yes, we do know how you voted if the poll is public, rather than private. In this particular poll, you voted for the last option: "When you start to think… what does it take to be banned? But you weren’t alone in picking that selection. So did eucharisteo, Janet1983, Lutheranteach, PeaceSerenity, RebeccaJ, Siegfried, SunnaB16, Syele, TriuneUnity, and Xavierlives.

I don’t really care for public polls If I want to make a public announcement of my position I will post a comment. And I agree with Corki that private polls are often more revealing.

Well, that’s two for two…I think we need to add another selection for considering 'forum burnout…"

That’s:

#10: when you are proven wrong twice in the same thread, you don’t have a single snappy comeback.

(sigh)

I converted to another faith (not to ask questions, though), started working at work, thought about getting banned, and have ignored people. 😃

I still drop in every couple months but I began getting so sick of certain posters I stayed away for well over a year.

Earlier today, I had a radical poster tell me that “hell was created for your kind,” that his God hates me, and that he “is 1000 times better than [me].” I just had a Gnostic poster tell me that I’m the beast and that I was the serpent in the garden, and to “shut your unclean mouth, for I come with a sword for the serpent’s head.”

Of course, both threads have been removed, but enough people saw them to verify that I’m not making this up. 😃 At this rate, I’ll NEVER experience forum burnout LOL

(grin) Yes, indeedy, I can testify to the existance of that last one. 😉

Ah yes you can haha. I must say, being labeled Satan, the Beast, and the cause for the creation of hell - all in ONE DAY, mind you - that’s harsh. Wow. 😃

I dunno, dave, I’d say it was worth a certificate to hang on your wall, myself. As for me, I thought I told him to shut up rather nicely, myself. 😉

Still, it’s a very good thing that thread disappeared, and perhaps we should bask a wee bit more quietly in our laurel wreathes…
