Just how important is JESUS?

Jesus is our only hope! Without Him, we will remain separated from heaven. Only through Jesus can we be allowed to stand before the throne of God, cleansed and purified, redeemed by the precious blood of the Lamb which covers our trespasses, allowing us to be re-united with our Creator. Many folks try to be good people and do what is right, but only through an abiding relationship with Jesus can we be saved and empowered to live in a way that is truly pleasing to God, for now and all of eternity.

John 14:6
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 15:4-5
4Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
5"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

1 John 5:10-12
10Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. 11And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
 
He is the true Light which is in each and every one of us…Catholics, Quakers, Muslims, Presbyterians, Baptists…“that of God” is in each of us…He is the Light Within.

I’d say He’s important to every Christian. Just a question: are you asking that on a catholic site for the purpose of questioning if their emphasis on Jesus or elsewhere? No harm at all meant by that question. Just curious, that’s all.
 
I guess emphasis was probably my intent. Finally something we all agree on.

Indeed, when I read this mind immediately jumped to 1 Corinthians 15 (12-28 quoted here):

"But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all."

Christ is essential and our Savior, that is something to rejoice in indeed 👍
 
Rev 1:5-7
“…Jesus Christ
who is the faithful witness
and the first begotten of the dead
and the prince of the kings of the earth
unto him that loved us
and washed us from our sins in his own blood
and hath made us kings and priests
unto God and his Father
to him be glory and dominion
for ever and ever amen
behold
he cometh with clouds…”

consider LIFE without Him.
That doesn’t make sense…
you can’t have LIFE without the LIFE,
for He is “the LIFE” (John 14:6)
 
Jesus is the MOST important part of my life. Without him, i am nothing.
