God bless you for taking all the trouble to return it. Perhaps it does not make a difference to anybody now but you did the right thing. Still, it would be good to contact the owner if they are contactable and from that see what course of action you all can do with the fan. If they are not contactable, at least you have tried and now can consider it as an abandoned item. Otherwise having it in the office would be neither here nor there, not forgetting the fact that it would take up space too.

It is a small thing but you did the right thing. I think we all know deep down in our hearts what we are suppose to do, even in little things… Thanks for the update.

I asked my boss if anybody from our company tried to call and he told me that there were workers from different companies performing different sets of office repair that he didn’t recall who had left it. But, I was to keep it there in the office just in case somebody came back. As he said, “it’s a fan.”

I know, I am way scrupulous.
