No prob. Keep this in mind: it’s easy to propose, buts its a real tough journey to make in up to the alter. But hey, sometimes we’ve got to take one for the team!

Just tell me one thing–how did you keep from blowing chunks during the actual ceremony? I imagine I would do that, particularly because I would probably have to prescribe two shots of Jack beforehand just to keep the nerves cooperative.

Well, I took about 3 shots of Crown Royal and 2 of Jack Daniels Black Label coupled with 300mg of welbutrin (I quit smoking 2 mos. ago but still have to take it). 😉 I was nowhere near buzzed but nowhere near passing out like I was an hour before the ceremony.

LOL. Who are you, the love child of Jack Bauer and Chuck Norris? FIVE shots of liquor mixed with drugs? With “no buzz?” Oh man. Lol.

My dad was a wild child in his late teens thru early 20’s (late 60’s, early 70’s) & played in rock bands, so he ingested a lot of pot and beer. Mom was the normal college kid, but with that nice Scots/Irish blood.

Gee…our pastor told us that if he even suspected we had even 1 drink he would call off the wedding. I think it has something to do with making an informed decision and being cognizant of the choices to make the marriage valid.

I was in complete control of my facilites. I think the adrenaline and the nerves burned most of that alcohol right up.

Let me clarify, when I say pass out I mean because of nerves, not by taking a few drinks for medicinal purposes. And those shots were spread out between 12:30p thru 2:30p when the wedding started. Sorry if it came out I was pounding them back.
 
You’re both blessed to have found each other, and your bride would have frozen in a summer dress up here last month.
 
Congrats! If I had taken that many shots (even if it was over a longer period of time) they would have had to drag my unconscious body to the altar! I laughed so hard at that post!
 
Congratulations on your wedding. You make a beautiful couple. It does look like nice weather. It has been so cold here, that our pictures are still taken indoors! Have a wonderful life together.

My wife and I celebrated our second anniversay last month. Marriage has been the best thing ever! We already have an awesome 10 minth old son and another baby on the way!

It has been almost 10 years since my lovely wife and I married, but as far as the proposal and how I knew I wanted to propose, I just new.

My wife and I met in early 1992, but did not start dating until February 1994. I knew within a week or two that she was the woman for me and I told her so. She ran like &^#%.

This went on for almost a year, we broke up twice before we finally got together in December, 1994 or January 1995.

Once we got together the 3rd time, it was about 6 months before we got engaged, it would have been sooner, but I couldn’t afford a ring, so had to save some money. Married about a year later.

It has been an awesome almost 10 years. God has blessed us with two wonderful kids and a great life together.

You’ll know when it’s right.
