Hospice facilities are like this. I just wish the hospice where I volunteer several days a week had access to the Braves. But I often find Braves fans among our patients and we have a great time talking about them. Same with other teams. Hospice is a special place.
Bump…This is such a great story, I just wanted to bring it to the top one more time. In the sports world of it is all ME and what is in it for ME. And with all the scandal’s in Professional Baseball (and other sports as well.)Stories like these are rare. (Not that what is told in this story is rare…just storys about this in a secular publication is rare)
What a glorious article! I had the privilege of meeting a young Hawthorne Dominican sister last month (the daughter of an acquaintance); she’s stationed at their motherhouse in New York state. It was so good to see a young woman who has responded to this vocation so beautifully exemplifed in the sisters in Atlanta.
