I stand by what my family showed me, proved to me with their life. No one loves freedom more than the man or woman who leaves their own to make peace thousands of miles from their own home.

God Bless Phillip, Uncle Ciz who gave their life so your simple minded family could utter such balderdash. Those who are not willing to defend freedom don’t deserve it. Yes war is hell, but loosing a war is even worse.

I rest my case. Please learn some history. Islam threatened Christianity seriously several times throughout the centuries in Europe. Spain, the Balkans, etc… it isn’t so hard to discover on your own. The Crusades started as a response to this threat. Once it was only the King of Poland who saved Europe and maybe Christianity but certainly western civilization, and thus yes *future American civilization *from Islam. I wasn’t at all talking, didn’t even think about America in my post. Historically speaking, fighting in wars has saved Christianity, and more specifically Catholicism against others seeking to destroy it, not only from Islamic armies. This isn’t only true of more religious fighting. I seriously doubt a Nazi and Communist europe would have ushered in a New Era of the Church. Christ came with a sword. It is sometimes necessary to fight against evil. If a group of whoever came in to your home and said they would kill your entire family, force you to worship a rock named Bob, and kick you out of your house, and threaten to take over the rest of the city so that everyone you know and loved if they were still alive had to worship a stupid rock and live on the street… would you fight? Or does Jesus want your family to die to let everyone worship Bob and lose their salvation so long as at least you go to heaven by not fighting?

You blithely ripped that verse (Isaiah 2:4 and Micah 4:3) out of its context. It is talking about the days when the Messiah will be reigning on earth. We’re not there yet.

While we’re on the topic, what are you going to do with Joel 3:10, in which it says, in reference to the last days, “Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears…”?

And what are you going to do with the book of Revelation, where Christ Himself is pictured as having a sharp sword coming out of His mouth, with which he kills millions?

And on a slightly different topic…

Papal guards have on their person the capacity to beat swords into plow shares at the rate of 700 rounds a minuet. As to scriptual beating swords into plow shares that will come when God no longer allows mankind freedom from the control of His will.

If it’s what it takes, yup. The Rugrats worshipped Bob.But all joking aside, me and my family would die than spurn Jesus. That was how it was with St. Andrew & his compaions in Vietnam.
