That is the good part but can we call it ‘just’ considering the huge number of deaths of innocent people especially women and children? If you consider just the purpose then you may say the war was just but considering the outcome, No war is just!
I agree with you, but also remember those who died are “rested in peace”, but what about those were tortured day by day till they were liberated by that war…

Yes we know this. My post was about the justification for the invasion according to the Just War doctrine compared to seeking and abiding by UN resolutions. My point is that the Natural Law theory of Just War was slightly compromised by using the UN, whose charters do not properly reflect the Natural Law morality.
I apologize. I misunderstood your point. Thanks for the clarification. 🙂

Define “Just” define “innocent”. It is to be remembered that war today is not what is was in the past due to many factors especially the means to get weapons of such distruction.
The gains of war are also in question. To the victor goes the spoils has not been done when the USA defeats those wishing to defeat them, no enslaving and taking over of the wealth no penalty is levied the USA gives the defeated aid to rebuild and the opportunity to be self governing, no mean feat that to those who are forever paying taxes to support the effort. G_d himself ordered war throughout Hebrew scriptures were those “just”.
