if we are going to defeat abortion said:
I completely agree. The abortion “rights” movement owes a lot of its success to misinformation, starting with the original plaintiff in Roe v Wade who lied to the court about her pregnancy being the result of rape. Both the facts and logic are on the prolife side of this issue and we cannot give up that advantage for the sake of making this easy.

A good end cannot justify an evil means and this is true whether the issue is abortion itself or arguing our positon about abortion in the public square. Making false statements to win an arguement is different only in degree from murdering abortion providers. It is always wrong and counterproductive even if you ignore the morality of it.

I sincerely hope this is the result of sloppy reporting and is not intentional.

All, I do not know if Justice Ginsburg made the statements alleged, but the theory that abortion should be allowed on the basis of the 13th Amendment prohibition of involuntary servitude has definitely been advanced by abortion proponents. I have seen an opinion from a federal court case in Utah where that argument was advanced (and summarily dismissed, I might add), so whether Justice Ginsburg advanced it or not, the argument will be made.

I haven’t given it much thought, because it seems so off the wall, but its proponents take that as an admission of the strength of their argument. I do not see how propagation of the species can be recast as slavery; it would seem there would have to be some economic interest, as I think all slavery is based on some type of economic system. As I said, I haven’t thought about it a lot. Looks like we’ll have to. We are living in sad, sad times in some ways.

I’d like to see this, can you help by giving a time period? was this a district court or court of appeals?
