Maybe you can explain how they are different. As a Lutheran, I see the U-L-I-P of the TULIP as basically heretical.

It seems to me that, speaking generally about Protestantism in America today including the evangelical contingent that makes up an increasingly high percentage of Christians and exerts a great deal of influence on various tenets in the popular mind, that there will continue to be a conflict between the Catholic position and those who espouse doctrines involving a OSAS position (related to the “I” and “P”, I guess), and also that of imputed righteousness.
